I would have liked to have known as it would have been an opportunity to see things from your side and as I said an opportunity for you to be honest. You obviously unable to comprehend when someone is trying to help you so I give up. The 'Slack' in Alice actually comes from time spent on the coal delivery round with dad; we were a familiar sight in the locality in the olden days.
My sister Gerty and I would get the bags of 'slack' ready for the round and deliver to the impoverished, hence the "slack" moniker; Dad and my brother Ike would do the heavy stuff.
Gerty sadly died in a freak accident on the waltzers at a travelling fair in Bridlington in the 70's.
Ike retired to Austria and breeds Spangle Budgerigars.
Dad, Stan now 104 lives in a Residential Care Home and when I visit will still say "Are the bags of 'slack' ready Alice".
