Shows just how important our performance and a point on Sat were.
COYS.

(Also the 4 pts gained in 2, “not pretty,” games to watch, against Notts and Crawley. Well done the lads.)

Yet another 'must win game' this Saturday.

Surely another 3 points will be enough to see us retain our EFL status which looking towards next season could see playing our 'friends' from Accrington once again.... :?: :?: :?:

Grimsby is certainly a game we can win, and a “must not lose” one, for me.
3 pts would be fantastic though.

The quicker we get to 50 points the better, the bottom two can only get 52 points, then we can start offering contracts

I can't see two from Macclesfield, Yeovil and Notts County reaching 49 points, so a win v Grimsby should leave us safe. While we can't be mathematically safe on Saturday, it would be an amazing run of results for us to still go down if we do take three points.

Wonder what the odds are on Yeovil and Crawley going down? Both teams look like they couldn't buy a win.

Wonder what the odds are on Bury taking their place though. Avoided being wound up today by promising to pay a debt owed to former manager Chris Brass. However, HMRC, who are owed over £270,000 will take over the petition on May 15th, which may seem put into administration. The players are going on strike from today and if not paid will not play on Saturday apparently.

P.S. Accy are I think doomed. Not just defeats but they don't seem to be getting the decisions. Clear handball last night but no penalty.

That'd be a real shame after all the money their owner has thrown at it but atleast they've been there and done it

Be nice if Southend came back down; we'd then only need a point a game from the rest. ;)

I think the money that they have spent has come from lucrative cup ties. He is loaning them 300k for a new pitch in the summer. We should be learning a lot from how they have gone about their business.

I know you get parachute payments when relegated from the Football League & from Premiership, but do you get them for relegation from League One to League Two & Championship to League One? Could Acci still have a significantly higher budget next year if they are relegated?

Hi Keith it would appear so. I think there is a section on here.

Thrown very little at it. What money he has was spent on buying the ground freehold, which is a long term asset.

The club expects to show a profit due to cup runs, managed spending and the sale of Kayden Jackson for £1.62m.
