Thing is, IF Mark HAS already said he's going, then some people will say that he decided to go BECAUSE Jim dropped him, rather than the other way around.

If Jim can't handle a handful of people giving him a little bit of stick, then how would he cope at a bigger club with more demanding fans?

You are always going to get this, it's nothing new! Look at the grief Sammy Mac endured in his final season.
Certain people just feel the need to protect Jim. He can do no wrong in some eyes. Non of the grief Jim gets is a personal attack. Anyone paying their money into the club is entitled to vent their frustrations.

Only Jim is fully aware of what type of “grief” he gets.
“Vent their frustrations,” fair enough, as many fans do, to varying degrees, but then don’t be whine arseing about it, when the man finally calls a spade a spade.

I agree with this. I am not knocking Jim for having a pop, I just wondered if it was the right thing to do. It is just another grey cloud over the Globe. Manager and fans at each other shocker.

I don't think it was the right thing to do, but it was an understandable thing to do.

I'm sure even the most ardent critics of Jim would agree that he gives 100% commitment to Morecambe FC and is passionate about the club. The pressure he is under every season to pull yet another rabbit out of the hat must be incredible. To get to this point in the season, having all but mathematically survived, having not had a break since last July (if not before) must be exhausting. So yes, not the right thing to do, but it's another indication of how much he cares.

There is a more recent interview on Radio Lancs and Jim revisits his comments from last week. A good listen and fair play he backs up why he said what he did. I think that there are more underlayin issues than a few blokes shouting at him from the posh seats. He mentions two or three things that he can't go in to. Maybe the Ince thing and the owners bringing in a new coach to take training upset Jim more than we knew.

I heard that last night and wondered if the issues he wasn't going to talk about included the Ince speculation. He still sounded upset.

He did say he felt like saying to the critics "Have some of that , we are still in the EFL" !
