I havent been to the globe much this season but after attending the forest Green game and then yesterday it feels like the general atmosphere around the club is changing.
I
It helps that we have finally stopped hoofing it and are now playing some nice football.

Jbs was packed before the game.
No one seems to have moaned about pies and catering for a while.
Christie the cat is back!
The club seem to be really thinking of incentives to get people in.
The new kit is sorted nice and early.

Slowly and steadily it seems the new chairmen are fixing all those small things that niggle at people but when added together make a big difference.

Well done chaps and well done to Jim for changing the playing style.

Agree with P/T Indie. There is more of a feel good factor about again which hopefully bodes well for the future. At times yesterday the football was very entertaining and the game as a whole very enjoyable. Another small thing I noticed yesterday was following an announcement on the tannoy (can't remember what it was about) the information followed that it was sponsored by a business. Obviously a small thing but maybe a sign that more thought is being put into revenue streams.

Sounded like every match announcement has a sponsor now which is a positive commercial move. I have heard the new Commercial Manager has been out and about drumming business up as well.

An excellent afternoon's entertainment and can't complain about the result although a win would have been nice but with their money from their FA Cup run can see Newport in EFL1.

Look forward with optimism to it being us that is celebrating like the Newport fans on achieving the play offs next season.

I genuinely believe (as I said recently in another thread) if we can keep this squad together, we would be able to start next pre-season with a settled group of players and hit the ground running. With access to Lancaster University as a training venue, we could easily be in a play-off position this time next season. The defence are building a really good understanding and working well as a unit, Fleming has been superb before & post injury, we've two superb goalkeepers and a selection of forwards who would terrorise most League Two opposition. Confidence growing... we've been playing and looking really good.

I just hope that Mills & Collins can see the value of another season improving under Jim's management with an eye to a much bigger move, than take the risk of a pay rise next season but then perhaps falling out of favour again? Sam Lavelle has seen the big picture, let's hope they do too.

So how did that work out then?

Thanks for that , I was pleased to see Accy get away from the trapdoor , it shows clubs with small revenues can survive in League 1.

What do you think the future holds for Pierro Mingoia ?

Last 6 league games of the season in League 2 saw two teams unbeaten (Newport and Stevenage) and four teams losing just once (F.G.R., Exeter, Northampton, and Morecambe). Now that's play-off form.

As others have said, if we can keep the majority of this squad together, we could start next season in fine form and hopefully have a good shot at reaching the play-offs.

Be happy next season if we can carry on concentrating on winning all our home games making it a fortress and increasing crowd figures and revenue,

Try and get our hardcore back upto 1800 like it was in 2010, it's realistic.

Mingoia,s future well he is contracted to us for another season depending on our retained list there are 2 players currently in front of him being selected could say the ball is in your court but could still be in Coleman,s plans but personally I don't think so.
