We can indeed !

Actually a crowd of 2,014 against Newport would make our average exactly 2,000.

I wonder what average the club used in the budget. An increase of over 500 per game is great progress and let's hope the club can build on that next season.

The same old names are going to have to find some new straws to clutch for their negativity.

Looks like Newport could well have a lot riding on the last game the way results are panning out.Remember when Southend brought over 2,000 up for the last game, how many could potentially travel up from South wales if they need something from the game. Could be another boost to a decent average crowd.

We are already set to achieve our best average for 6 years, and if 2025 fans attend the last match we will crack the 2000 mark for the first time since 2011, great stuff!!!

Oh WW you are hard to please . Better the dizzy heights of 17th then the free fall with a half open parachute of certain people from the West Country, to be followed shortly by Pies from the Midlands. Some never come back you know!

According to the Newport forum we are selling tickets for the away end so are maybe hoping for a decent away following , although another poster said he had looked at train times and the return journey back to Swansea would take 17 hours and cost £126 . Let's hope they put some coaches on

Last season our total average including away fans was only 1,492. With 1 game to go our average this season is 1,999 so an increase of 507 per game.

Part of the 507 is from better away support (Bury and Oldham etc) but our home "hard core" has obviously increased also which is very good news whether they be "new fans" or returning fans.

Newport won tonight so they're sat in the play-off places, all goes down to the last day though. Hopefully means they'll bring a few in high spirits?

They are massively inflated by the cheap game and the away fans brought by Carlisle, Bury, Oldham and Tranmrre, therefore our home support hasn't increased by 500+. It has increased though, which can only be a good thing.

I think we know that ,but there has been no repeat of the 700 and 900 gates of last season.

We also know that Bury , Oldham and Tranmere joining league 2 has helped the average but there is no doubt that our hard core home support has increased maybe by 200 ish

Same here. Been in the home and North Terrace and always is scanned myself.

As previously stated this years average gate has been improved by swollen travelling support from he local clubs and the two initiatives to bring larger home gates (V Crawley and Cheltenham.) There has probably been an a=extra couple of hundred on the home support though and thankfully we have not seen anything close to the sub-1000 gates we saw twice last season.

I would say a for standard league game this season, against a team with an infated away support the home gate has been around the 1500 mark +/- 200.

Looking to next season, the loss of Bury and Lincoln will hit away attendances.

Out of the teams threatening to be promoted from the play-offs Tranmere would bring the most away support.

Losing Yeovil and Notts County won't be felt, however, I would not expect much support from Leyton Orient. Ideally from Salford/Fylde Salford would bring more - Fylde's support is not great in terms of numbers.

Coming down from League 1 Bradford obviously will travel very well, can;t see Scunthorpe, Walsall or Pylymouth travelling well - unless they are having very good seasons.
