According to Sky tv commentator last night,Newport have achieved the play offs despite one of the 3 lowest budgets for the season in l2,just shows again that money is not everything,just saying!

They bagged circa £2 million from their FA Cup run the season just finished and with gates of 8000 their income per month is still way above ours and a number of other clubs in the league.

I can imagine the players did well out of win bonuses and possibly cup incentives.

Good luck to them...maybe next season we can do something similar re FA Cup run...

If you think Newport will average 8,000 attendances you are dreaming. Their ground doesn't even hold that !

And a manager is sacked just because they failed in the play offs....

If Mansfied use that as the criteria at their club going forward then they deserve to be in a relegation dog fight and the sooner the better.

On the Stags forum they are talking about having a budget of £3 million and that for some it has been wasted.
