Hmm so is that no offers have been made or there has been offers just not the right one.

I can't believe a journo at the mirror just made up a random story on little old morecambe just to fill column inches.

Well at least we are being kept informed of developments (assuming that there are some) which is a significant step forward in communication from OUR club.

Our owners did say when they bought into OUR club that initially it was for 2 years. I'm sure that what ever transpires in the future that the fans will be kept informed of developments as the owners see fit.

I would believe it. The best thing about the Mirror is, erm, it's not the Sun. I can't find this 'story' anywhere else on the mighty Google. Even the Mirror's own search facility is not bringing it up.

A good and positive clear statement, communication and clarification from the club, Colin and Jason. It's good to snub the gutter-press when they publish spurious information, not worth the paper they are written on!

What have they snubbed? They would clearly sell if the right money came along - "Colin and I would consider the right offer from the right buyer if that’s in the best interests of the club."

The only reason they haven't sold yet is "that has not yet been received and we will continue to act us responsible custodians of the club until it does."

I think that the club statement is more positive and supportive for a sustainable future than the way the paper article is written and construed. Okay, they didn't 'snub' the article, but they've put in in perspective, and I think that is positive and good news for the club and fans.

A fair response from the owners. They have faced the rumours and put their views across fairly. They have always been open with how they see their ownership going. I bet most football club owners would sell if they received a good offer for a club.

Excellent club statement from the owners. Yes our club will come up for sale again but a) we are being kept informed a b) a sale will go through if it is right right offer and in the best interests of the club.

These guys are not some of the owners we have flirted with in the past and we have no reason to doubt their words.

I think its a very positive statement from the owners.

There is undoubtedly a feelgood factor about the place at the moment, which they're trying to build on. My sense is that Jason and Colin have given the freedom to staff and directors to get on with the simple things we should have been doing a long time ago. They've undoubtedly made mistakes - keeping on PMG, hiring Jack Ryan, the Paul Ince rumours as part of an effort to move Jim on, and their social media person - but they've realised the errors and rectified them (possibly under pressure from the directors).

However, the fundamental statement - "Morecambe Football Club has not been put up for sale" - is surely not wholly correct. Saying, "Colin and I would consider the right offer from the right buyer if that’s in the best interests of the club", is surely an invitation to potential buyers?

It is Posh and the comments about the debts also highlight the price they are looking for is more than the value of the club.

At Companies House there is still a charge registered for Mayfair Finance.

I would expect to see this as being satisfied before any sale.

I think that there would be a few club owners who would sell there club IF the price was right....

knowing the owners past history at spinning storys out could they have done the same here in the hope that it attracts potential buyers.

A great PR exercise to show the club is in a much better place to supporters and to the wider world, whilst at the same time informing potential buyers they are now ready to start listening to sensible offers.

Fair play.

An interview with our owners on the Worcester Warriors forum. They sound a lot more positive on there and talk of spending the maximum £7,000,000 on players wages.

Seems as though we are second best unfortunately and Colin and Jason work there full time and are at all the games! A shame they could not seem to do anything to keep one of our star players at the club, disapointing really.

The Worcester Warriors team coach was parked on China Street in Lancaster this morning, seemed an odd place to see it
