first season we moved to the gloom arena we didn't play any home friendlies. In the first game there Fleming scored a brace against Coventry y City :)

Would much prefer to play all pre season games away if it means that we can give our 'new' pitch time to bed in.

Pitch was looking in a damned good condition on Monday night. Looks like Chesh's bunch have done a bloody good job once again.

Exactly! If it means the pitch is in good condition through January & February because it had maximum time to bed in now, then a trip to Leyland is a good thing.

Eyyy, when I were a lad, pre-season were a time of unbridled optimism. None of that negativity stuff back then...

Unfortunate, but what a good decision, given the amount of rain now. New pitch would have cut-up badly. Hopefully better next Saturday.
