Sposored by sky, sky tv at the game, huge advertising boards at the ground! They probably getting more money today thay we've got off them in years!! The only club in the league that doesn't need any more money thrown at them! Also have they mentioned the team they happen to be playing today?? :o

Exactly! Sky and co complain about lower leagues and grass roots football not being funded as much, then they have the audacity to broadcast loads of Salford’s games, who, as you say, are the least in need of funds... A complete joke. Should be guidelines for number of broadcasting per season, I.e. at least one live game for each team but no more than 3 for a single league two team in one season, except playoffs

Sky would never agree to those guidelines. As we've said before, the TV companies want to show the clubs that most people would want to see. We hardly come into that category and will always lose out amongst the 'big' clubs.

What is your problem. Need to get the green eyed monster back in its cage. Ever thought Sky are showing Salford games because they play entertaining footy and provide a product those who subscribe to sky will want to watch. If MFC did not play the same lacklustre footy week in week out for as long as I can remember maybe maybe sky may be interested.

Only allowed to name 6 subs due to one player had to be an academy/U19 squad member which as Salford are new to the FL they don’t have any other teams.

Problem with that theory is, even when we were playing entertaining football, we weren't chosen. We've never had a live League game as far as I can remember. One FA Cup, one League Cup & one Play Off game from our own ground?

So how did that work out then?

2 League Cup games live. Wolves and Newcastle in the same season.

And that's the only way we are going to get on the telly.....with a big team facing us. There just aren't enough viewers who are interested in Morecambe. Face facts folks.

I agree. Where I disagreed is on the point of "entertainment" being a factor. We could be playing the most entertaining football in the League and 'little old Morecambe' would still never get on. The problem is, at our level, it causes too much of a financial imbalance. I'd rather no League Two games be shown live or Sky told to be fair, eg, each club get one home game per season. Salford will get the best part of £100k from Sky this season, and that's without them being the darlings of the FA Cup too.

Am I missing something here. Football is a form of entertainment that’s it. No different from the cinema, theatre or the telly. If programs on the telly were not entertaining no one would watch it. Football on the telly is all about entertainment or the prospect/ expectation of it that’s what draws in the viewers and makes the money for sky. Wake up and smell the coffee for the last 4 years the entertainment factor at Morecambe has been missing and looking at the comments on here the prospect of entertaining footy this season is looking ominous. Please stop blaming other teams that provide a product people wish to see and proposing that no telly in league 2. Too many on here playing the victim card. Get the business right and the rest will follow
