SQUAD TOGETHERNESS & POSITIVITY

SQUAD TOGETHERNESS & POSITIVITY

Towards the end of last season when we went on that great run, you could see the players all pulling together, enjoying their football and looking at things positively. I must be honest and say that I feared some of that might be lost in the close season with some player departures and some new players coming in (or even back in).
However the brilliant videos of the training camps etc gave me hope that the feeling may be retained and even built on.
Watching the highlights from last nights win (and reading other reports), supports that feeling, and I love the way that whether they were on the pitch, on the bench or not on either (but simply there in support) all the players appeared to be part of the group and all working for each other.
Add in the quality we now have in the squad and I really feel that we could see some great results this season and hopefully increasing attendances as a result.
Well done to JB and all the backroom staff ................ and well done to the players themselves.
The wine and the football seem better in the sunshine!!

Good post CS, couldn’t agree more. It is early doors, but all pieces look in place for a great season. Grimsby was a bit of a write off, but both Mansfield games absolutely proved your points, and were a pleasure(+ no nails) to watch.

I totally agree also.

I notice the way a number of the lads talk that there seems to be a genuine passion to be part of the club and among the group. Again, fantastic work Matt Rushden on the reaction video. I love watching them, as it captures the mood of the camp.

So far so good from Jim's recruits this year. Now I just want us to really take the game to sides that come to The Globe and have a little less respect for the opposition. I believe we have more than enough to hurt teams in our squad, despite our budget restraints.

Bring on Cheltenham!

These two games against Mansfield have been really good for us as supporters of the club so early in the season.

I agree, it's clear that we have a squad that seems to be getting on well with a great feeling about the place and a desire to play for each other.

It's also shown us that we have real strength in depth this year. Plenty of players who are stepping in and looking like 1st team regulars already.

Onwards and upwards!
HOWAY THE SHRIMPS!!!!!

On topic(ish) and proud!
