For me, getting a fully fit Aj back on the field is a priority. The current form/ performance of Cole S, and Shaun M, just isn’t good enough. Hopefully it will come soon, but Aj has looked sharp in his short appearances off the bench. The whole team,( and supporters,) need that boost, that comes from scoring goals, often leading to the results we all want. Aj can do that, along with the on fire Lewis A.

Lewis is well and truly in the shop window with him only being on a short term deal. How long before a club comes in for a striker on form and we are screwed again?

Bloody hell, don't even want to think about it BW, but you are absolutely right.

I am unconvinced that the management know our best team and each season we stumble along until they find it. For what it's worth I don't believe a midfield that includes Tutte and Wildig would trouble many sides and I wonder why Mendez-Gomes has fallen out of favour and why Brewitt didn't start against Swindon? As a club we don't seem to allow younger players to develop, we seem to want experienced pros whose best days are behind them!!

Time to give at least one of the youngsters a run in the team. Either Jagne, Carlos or new lad Lynch would do for me.

We simply have to get out of this rut of constantly relying on the same tried and tested players who are either no longer able to do it as they used to be or are too injury prone.

Jim has no idea what his best line up is or where his new signings are going to play. How many positions has O'Sullivan played in so far? Is it 3 or 4 at the back? How many striker combinations has he tried? How many games does a striker get before being bombed out? Is Roche a better GK than Mark?

Most would agree Macclesfield are on par with us as a club, if not in a worse state than us. Have they improved over the summer? It looks like it so far. Have we improved over the summer? Not looking like it.

Looks like yet another season with no effective midfield and constant change in selection and formation. After so many seasons, you'd think Jim would have learned what works and what doesn't. Players seldom perform best when they're constantly moved around and constantly in/out of the starting 11. We've got a decent sized squad and few injuries at the moment - it's the time for Jim to choose the strongest 11 and be consistent to let them gel and grow together.
