Is Buxton still not fully fit? I'd have him starting even if it means him or Tanner would have to shift to left back

Phew! Great volley from their lad, fortunately just over the bar.

If Jim comes out after the game and digs out players, i think we are club in turmoil.

We all know the deserve a bollocking but it has to be in the dressing room. A public dressing down will hammer confidence even more.

Sadly we've not been much better second half. Cut out the silly errors but we've only created a couple of chances and nothing in the past 15 minutes. At 3-0 down you'd hope we'd be going for it more, wouldn't even mind hoofball now if it meant our strikers got the ball. Has Stockton even had a touch?

They've controlled the second half, we've not done anything.

This has been a poor performance. Outside the first 30 minutes we've been second best, all 3 goals conceded were poor but we've also failed to score ourselves. They don't look good but we look worse sadly.

Damage obviously done in the first half. A little better in the second but no reply (so far) Scunthorpe were able to control the game with their comfortable lead. Decisions didn't go our way. I thought we had a really good squad this season and some of the games against higher opposition gave me hope for an improved finish in the league. But some how whatever the squad we have, we play a similar pattern of football.
The mistakes are obvious but we don't learn from them. I don't know the answer, we all no doubt think we could do better,[b] but some how we need to turn things around, and soon!!

Penalty. Two tackles/fouls that were almost identical. One given, one not given. Buxton missed anyway.

Freez repeatedly refused to read out the rest of my texts. Twice I finished by saying "you don't see a goal coming". That was my point. We didn't look like scoring against the club who were bottom of the league and at a time when we desperately needed a goal. Yes their keeper had a couple of routine saves to make, but nothing particularly difficult. In fact, Barry made the best save in the second half. Even our penalty was poor.

Jim's pre-match interview wasn't confident. Sometimes he needs to say that he expects us to win and we need to start with an intention of battering a side rather than sitting back and letting the opposition grow in confidence. Too often, trying to keep things tight results in the opposition growing and the crowd getting behind them rather than on their backs.

Walsall are on a bad run too... they will be looking to turn their form around on Tuesday. We will probably worry about them more than them about us.

Most frustrating for me is that we almost did that today. Almost. We had them on the backfoot, we created chances, but gradually we let them get back into it. I'd rather we'd have conceded through pushing up for a goal than conceded the stupid goal we did. Then when we did concede, we completely lost the plot and let them score the other 2.

I’ve said it before but a team with Wildig and Tutte in midfield is going to struggle. There’s no pace and not enough work rate. Surely it’s time for a couple of the younger players to be given a chance. If nothing changes we are going to struggle.
