180 minutes against two struggling teams near the bottom, both teams would have won without even having a goalkeeper.

Couldn't get to the match tonight. Now I'm glad I didn't have to suffer sitting through that terrible performance. I still can't understand how possibly the best squad we have had for many seasons have not yet developed into a team! Desperately in need of drastic improvement.

Dreadful.

Freez said the final third was poor but I'd blame the middle third. Wildig, Tutte & O'Sullivan were all poor and either gave the ball away or passed sideways and backwards, with no creative ball forwards.

Another game where we didn't score. Walsall 15 shots to Morecambe 5 at home.

Jim needed a big response after Saturday and didn't get it.

Two of the worst performances I've seen watching Morecambe. It doesn't help conceding in under 5 minutes, but we looked defeated from the kick-off. Late to second balls, no pressure on them, no creativity, no attacking intent, no pace on the counter-attack. I'm not sure if it's a mentality issue or a tactics issue, but it's the same problems every week.

I think a team could start 11 outfield players against us and win comfortably.

I said before both this game and Scunthorpe that if we got a goal, they would crumble. Clearly, the same is true with us. Get a goal and we crumble.

Sadly we seem to gift teams goals and don't seem capable of creating them ourselves. At least tonight wasn't as bad as Saturday defensively, but we can't win if we don't score.

You've already posted in: The "Jim Bentley Out" Thread. Please Don't Start Any More so you know it exists. Which part of "don't start any more" was confusing you?

If you want to ban all the negative fans Keith see how many people end up on this board (probably less than 20)

Negative is the wrong word. Fans who love the club, pay their hard earned to watch another cluess and gutless Jim Bentley team roll over again.

I thought Buxton played well tonight.... as said above midfield was poor(how we miss Fleming )
Tutte was poor and has been for a while, Sullivan wasn’t much better....

He will not resign and we can't afford to sack him and his management team, so I guess nothings going to change. Our team of journeymen are well past their prime and devoid of any pace. It's going to be a long torturous season.

Horrible situation for me come Saturday, ofcourse I always want Latics to win but I'd hate it being at the expense of a man who has given his every last drop for Morecambe football club,
Think I'll stay away and take the good lady shopping or something

Flemming hardly got a game for the last two seasons and was 4th choice CM. We can not play 2 in midfield when it is Wildig and Tutte. They are hampered by the don't tackle at all costs tactics and the Roche hoof though.

This was posted on Walsall forum....

Watching the game with ‘Morcombe’ commentary on ifollow… can’t believe how unprofessional the two chaps are! One just half commented on gaffeny and said ‘your ginger mate, don’t give us any other excuse’ :joy: I’m now watching it on mute as it’s so distracting !

God, you really don't like anything about us do you?

You skipped past the positive comments to just post the negative?

From the Walsall thread:
https://upthesaddlers.com/t/morecambe-a ... pm/3519/80

Deldras: "Just go to the Morecambe channel; although you’re going to have to turn down Ant & Dec"
Belphegor: "these two are brilliant. Like two fans having a chat - Not often you hear the phrase" bloody hell fire" by football commentators "
Belphegor: "Love the commentary though
“The scaggy get, came off Scarr’s head like it was a sheriff’s badge and then dropped to one of his own players”
Belphegor: "According to the commentators “This is end to end rubbish” :joy:"
N4th4n: "Watching the game with ‘Morcombe’ commentary on ifollow… can’t believe how unprofessional the two chaps are! One just half commented on gaffeny and said ‘your ginger mate, don’t give us any other excuse’ :joy: I’m now watching it on mute as it’s so distracting !"
Belphegor: "Thought they were great.
Summary “we’ve been crap tonight” :grinning:"

I know 'balance' isn't your strong point...

Nice to see the downstairs bar heaving after the match! I think it peaked at 18, the 3 barstaff almost had to deal with a rush! Fortunately some were just passing through. I was surprised reaaly as after a nother woeful home performance i would've thought people needed a drink!
Don't worry be happy!

The only "Roundup" I know of is weedkiller? Are you suggesting that the anti-Bentley brigade are weeds? Thats a bit harsh. I mean, I disagree with them, but I'll let them post without suggesting they are weeds that need killing off. Not nice al1, not nice at all.

That said, they do come out of the cracks after every defeat and many of them return in a different form after you think they previously been killed off. And Personnal Protective Equipment is recommended when clearing up after them, so perhaps you are right?
