Not good enough

The players at Morecambe FC are not good enough , that's top and bottom of it, the town has never supported the club in whatever level it has played in bar a day in 1968 ,a day in 1974 , and of course a day in 2007, pep or Dyche could not get success out of these ingredients year in year out, Top teams shop at M&S, average teams at ASDA, crap teams shop at ALDI, we "shop"at the food bank.

I think the players we have could do a lot better if they were organised better! At the moment our tactics are poor. We leave opposition wide men unmarked to create havoc, we allow opposition midfield players to run unchallenged at us and we ignore the claims of some of the younger players and persist in playing some of the older players whose best days are behind them. We continue to play both Tutte and Wildig in midfield, players that have no pace and seldom a creative pass. One of these could be selected with a player with young legs such as Mendes Gomez. We also need to look at what's going on in training. There is an inability to cross a ball properly or spray a decent pass. There is a reluctance to take on a shot. These faults could be corrected with some hard work on the training ground. We generally look a lot less professional than other teams and this too could be corrected with hard work and application.

Totally agree with some of the points you made f, but surely if it was a simple as the one above, every team could achieve the same?? Hard work on the training ground isn’t necessarily going to achieve, the results on the pitch. We can only “ play the hand we are dealt.”

If you take a lad out of the kitchen at the Hurley flyer and ask him to cook 30 meals in the blue mountain ...30 people will get crap overpriced food, no matter what the owner says to him.
