Is there a rule that one of the 7 subs has to be a keeper and if you don't have a keeper on the bench then you can only have 6 outfield players as subs ? Also who was the young development player that I thought had to be in the squad ?

That's not a rule, but even so we had Halstead on the bench anyway.

I think it was the club-developed rule that meant we only had 6 players.

"Where any club does not name a Club Developed Player, that club will only be permitted to name up to six substitutes rather than the seven normally permitted." I guess we didn't have any fit club-developed player.

Are Jagne or Mendes-Gomez not eligible or not fit? No other youth player could take a night away to sit on the bench?

I don't think Jagne or Mendes-Gomes count as being 'development' players, hence the empty seat. Not sure how fit Jagne is?

Could ibrahim bakare not have taken the seat even if not going to play would give him experience, as I'm sure Jim has used that one before when he put youngsters on the bench before,

Good shout glagys.

From what I've seen of Ibrahim he's raw BUT but also got a lot of talent and certainly is loud in telling those around him about positioning. A seat on the first team bench would be more than beneficial in his development. Could be yet another one who could be snapped up by a Championship or Premier league club in the not too distant future.

Not sure if this is true but last night someone said that we had signed someone from Portugal prior to Saturday but that International clearance was not completed in time for him to take up his position on the bench.

Bang on, Brownsword was injured, Hawley is on loan so we were one down on the bench last night.

That was crap last night and following Saturday it’s bloody hard to take.
But this in fighting and the people who want Jim out as usual claiming a handful only want him in, round up gang etc etc is bloody childish.
Keyboard warriors who have an opinion which they are fully entitled to, getting personal, and then bleating like stuck pigs when someone gets personal back?? Grow up all of you.

It was and is a perilous situation, a disastrous start to a season with very little to enthuse about, emotions are running high, personal insults don’t help anyone on here, so please can we at least try and be adult and civil with each other, as you would if we were face to face?

Just a suggestion!

The commentary supplied last night on IFollow got a lot of positive feedback from the Walsall contingent, as well as couple of complaints, however it’s primarily aimed at Shrimps fans.
And RedAlert doesn’t listen, but is happy to post the criticism of it, cheers, thanks for your support!!! :D

Oldham is crucial.

A truly dire game of football - plenty of boos from the home end after the game. They have their right too they pay a lot of money to watch that shocking stuff.

I hate the way you can't pay on the gate any more and have to pay an extra £2 if you don buy in advance. Absolutely ridiculous stuff - this in combination with the dire football has certainly put me off attending regularly.

I watch alot of non-league football at half the price and no matter what level your watching you want some entertainment. A lot of you know MFC are not my number 1 club but I have affiliations with them and they are my nearest FL club.

Fair point about arguing between ourselves, it doesn't look good and is not clever. I will hold my hands up and apologise.

You're not kidding and that goes for both sides, either could be looking for a new manager should they lose.

If it's a draw, maybe they could just do a job swap with each other

I'd of taken Jimbo over Scholes last season and I'd snap your hand off with the current guy who hasn't got a clue about this League but it won't end a draw Saturday and someone's receiving their cards

Thanks Berlin Waller, we all want to see us win and play some decent football, at the moment it’s looking miles away, we don’t agree on the way forward, but at least some can see another point of view and it doesn’t mean we have to resort to insulting one another.

I don't think Keith covered himself in any glory with his dismissive attitude to those who don't agree with him and those screen shots were barmy. True colours and all that

No, I'm supposed to just take accusations of bias, censorship and "the roundup gang" without being allowed to respond at all? Also, any opinion different to yours and those who think like you isn't allowed because I'm 'Jim's friend'. Freez & co are only supportive of Jim because they get in to games? I wasn't sure if that covered me too?

If any opinion is differing to you and yours, it is trying to shut you up. I even have your paranoid nonsense that I keep logging you out and you recommending people "make a note of their passwords" despite me telling you repeatedly that has nothing to do with me (try clearing your cookies & cache, then ticking 'remember me' or whatever when you next log in).

So yes, I have a dismissive attitude to those who don't argue their point based upon logic & observation, or who can't make that point without insults or snide remarks.

Have a bite back, I enjoy it when you do. It is what forums are for. You put yourself in the position of being a one man defence of Jim after Tuesdays game. You pretty much put in a 24hr shift. Tempers flared because we all care so I totally accept your views when i can be arsed reading them. Not sure why you feel the need to try and shut me up on a forum. I feel my views are informed and backed up with a good knowledge of the game even though i do enjoy a game of footy manager. Sorry if they are not up to your standard but hey ho, I do enjoy living rent free in your head.
