PHEW!!! What a half!!!

Superb second half. We could have won it too, although to be honest, so could they, hitting the bar three times over 100 minutes!

Much, much better with Buxton and Kev on the pitch. If we can start like that we’d romp up the table.

Got serious reservations about Barry Roche, he's carrying way to much weight and was at fault for the second goal, it was in slow motion, and because he's carrying to much weight its effecting his mobilty and agility.

And was beat a couple of weeks ago with a side footed shot from outside the area against Salford City.

Also when Barry came out of his box to clear the ball Northampton fans were onto him chanting "you fat b..ta.d"

Not sure why Northampton shut up shop for the entire second half when they had us on toast for the first. Nice to see a bit of fight from us but Northampton got what they deserved for sitting back.

Roche is a liability now. Not coming for corners and not picking up long shots is causing a lot of problems. We really need to sort the midfield out, 2 men in the middle doesn't work. Positive signs but we can't keep letting teams get head starts and then try and scrape a point with a frantic 30 minutes.

If Conlan is fit I'd like to see Buxton tried out in centre-mid. He's often our best attacking player, but has to do so from right-back where he's limited. We've got two decent full-backs in Tanner and Conlan, but Buxton is too good to leave on the bench.

I kind of agree, but wonder how much was Northampton sitting back or us pushing them back? Buxton’s made a huge difference, surging forwards and [shock-horror] being prepared to shoot! Also, once we got the first goal, you could see some confidence coming back, not just to the players, but the crowd too.

Agree on Roche, he doesn’t command his area and the defenders don’t trust him, a few times today he shouted “come home” and the defenders kicked it out of play instead. Halstead has to be brought in.

Before kick off, the BBC Northants guys were prefacing most comments with “no disrespect to Morecambe but...” and then went on to explain how the Cobblers would have too much for us.
They were the second team we have come across with big men all over and getting it forward long and early, we dealt with it a bit better than Grimsby, but it was only when we started keeping the ball and taking them on out wide we got some joy.

I wouldn't say I was critical of Morecambe but thought Northampton threw it away. Northampton invited us on and we took the opportunity and got a draw. There is no need to get carried away though, it is 3pts from 18 at home. When we win 3 or 4 on the bounce, throw everything back in my face by all means.

Amazing,we got a draw after another poor first 60 minutes,up till then it must have been the cobblers easiest game of the season.Fortunate that Conlon got an injury and had to subbed by Buxton who changed the game for a very lucky jb,who luckily lives to fight another day,but it is only a matter of time in my view before he is replaced.People have voted with their feet,hardly more than 600 home fans,plus the freebies in the away end and a decent amount of away fans,where they get a crowd of 2200 is beyond me,pull the other one.Astounded that some on here trumpet a draw as though it is a great victory,that is what jb has done to this club with all his negative whinging interviews,we celebrate a home draw,wow!
