He could have walked into a job at Oldham on a few occasions and I think he'd of done well, maybe he's way too loyal for his own good, treading water in Morecambe.

Surely, you don't think Morecambe are capable of anything better as things stand? Forget king prawns! Get to Home Bargains and stock up on baked beans

Whoever gave jb his current contract is partly responsible for the situation we are in today,we were in a bad run when he got a new deal and I will never understand why he got another deal.If he gets a new deal now, well i am finished with the club!

Maybe they couldn't find anyone crazy enough to take on such a monumental task, damned if you do and double damned if you don't

Instead of being happy with someone who didn't keep us in the league?

So how did that work out then?

Jim could take this as part of his interview presentation. I know that we disregard any stats that go against Jim but this is pretty much spot on.

You seem to like posting the stats, and taking them at face value, which is your prerogative. Then they can be used to “beat” the current manager. From now on my posts will refer to “current manager,” as they would be the same whoever is in the role. I will support all at MFC, regardless of personnel.

Just wondered if you can find the stats for the last 14 games of 18/19 season, when our current manager was in charge. My memory isn’t what it used to be, but can’t remember seeing a single one???
Cheers.

Not an attempt to "beat" anyone. There are currently 2 camps within the fanbase at the club and I merely put these stats up to show why I have the view I have. You are right, the last 14 games were great and watching Collins was a delight. No arguement there.

I enjoyed watching Collins to and devitt etc
But who’s fault is it that those players aren’t here? It’s not Jim’s
Jim has never bought a player.... he gets people who other clubs don’t want or are “lost” and try’s to turn them into decent players and they get sold or move on.
I’m sure Jim and anyone on here would love to have kept Collins, so why didn’t we?
It’s a rhetorical question btw.

Last 14 games of last season we won 6, drew 4 and lost 4. Previous 10 games we won 1, drew 4 and lost 5. Big improvement with the flair of Collins and the forward play of Bennett. Now we have niether we are back to the previous 10 games standard!

Because he had to sleep on a couch in Sam Lavelles front room.

We paid money for Andy Flemming

Yeah sorry, Sammy did sign Flemmo and Duffy. Not sure if we paid a fee for Jack?

Jim has never signed a player for money.
If you give a mechanic a secondhand hammer and screwdriver and ask him to fix cars it’s going to be very difficult.
All I’m saying is maybe the blame lies elsewhere

Even if that is true? Then he either chose to do so, or his wages didn’t allow him enough,to rent elsewhere on his own? (can’t see that, but??) Either way, neither reason can be blamed on the current manager, surely.

Not saying that is why he left but he mentioned not wanting to sign for MFC in the first place and that he had to sleep on a sofa in Sams flat in a FGR interview.

Dunno about that, but I do remember Collins saying he definitely wanted to sign on loan for Morecambe, but dunno bout full time after that.
We did pay a fee for Redshaw I think. But not sure.

About 7.30mins in. Speaks well about Jim and the club and the chance the club gave him.
