I know Jim has to keep spirits up etc, but after I listen to his interviews I sometimes think he watches a different game than me. ....

I personally think he will leave at the end of the season when his contract is up, even if we stay up. He looks like he needs a fresh challenge and maybe deserves one.

Still a long way to go and things change in football (as you know........I hope)
They'll be plenty of other strugglers down there come the end of the season, Carlisle might be one of them the way they're performing and there's no hiding from that 6-1 nonsense today for my lot.
Any one of six but Morecambe won't be one of them, unbelievable but true

I can genuinely see AFC Fylde appealing to Jim. Good budget, nice set up and a wealthy chairman with ambition. For me, it works for all parties. Jim must be fed up, perennial strugglers with no long stability and not being able to buy a result must take a toll. A fresh start for him and a fresh start for the club.

Northampton are 8 points ahead of us and I presume one of the 6 we will catch and take over? How do you see us gaining 9 points on them when we have only scraped 7 thus far Oldham?

I know the table doesn't lie, but before we kicked off yesterday, I said that I thought our line up was a pretty decent one and I've thought that before most matches this season. Also, most games, we've not been too far off. In almost every match, we've had periods where we've looked like a decent side but then had moments of lost concentration or something and been punished.

I'm not saying anything as stupid as "too good to go down" but I do think that if we can get a couple of wins on the bounce, we could go on a run. The problem is, seeing where we will find the confidence to get that first win.

Interesting how previously, some people were saying 'if we played decent football and lost I wouldn't mind' have discovered we can play decent football & lose and they do still mind!

I wouldn't say we are pleasing on the eye but we were competitive for the most part yesterday. Our football is far too pedestrian with too many nothing balls and back wards passes. We had a go yesterday and a bit of fight was good to see but we are a long way off blowing anybody away.

Totally agree, 2 or 3 wins on the bounce will change everything. Maybe the winter months will suit us better and be a leveller.

My mistake, they'll be six teams anchored to the basement but Morecambe will pull away from last spot and remain a football league club..........Just ;)

Martin Allen talking about the struggles of an under pressure Manager. I imagine Jim is feeling something similar.

Barrow have turned their approach down, saying he is loyal to Barrow, I wonder when he starts his new job

I wonder what the Barrow Board's attitude would be if an EFL 2 club came knocking on their door.

The same board that publically courted Paul Ince, hired a coach without Jim's knowledge and voted in an online poll about possibly sacking him? Yeah, ok then.

Wouldn't it be ironic if our Board allowed JB to discuss the position and that we drew AFC Fylde in the First Round of the FA Cup with JB as their new manager.... ;)

Have to say that I doubt it would happen..... :?: :?: :?:

Aww, bless... winning today must have really upset you. But remember, never let a Morecambe win ruin you weekend eh?

For the anti-Jim folks, John McGreal the Colchester manager said;

“You have to give Morecambe credit – they came with a game plan and executed it brilliantly well.

They haven’t been performing as badly as the league table suggests – we tried to get that information across to the players".
