Wonder if the Southampton fans took it in the similarly resigned but good-humoured way we did when those Welshies pillaged us for 9.

And I think we had 11 men for the entire match so no excuse there.

We had 3 managers in that week. One of them Jim Thomson , a former Burnley and Chelsea player was in the Guinness Book Of Records for a while after that as the shortest reigning manager ever. He got the job on the Tuesday and on the Thursday resigned after deciding he didn't fancy it !

We also had a goal disallowed at 0-0! Lawrie Milligan our captain scored a rare goal from about 30 yards but someone was stood in an offside position! The days when offside WAS offside!
