What will be telling is if they suddenly back the new manager in January. If they do it will show they were just making life difficult for Jim.

You’re right they did. Bought an asset cheaply, knowing full well that they had a “no fail “ plan in place to make proper money after a couple of years. That’s business, which is fair enough, but not done with any good intentions for Morecambe F.C.

They may not get another manager. They have saved 3 wages and given the job to 2 people who are already on the payroll.

My thoughts and hopes too. They may have just been biding their time. Let's hope and see if they make a move to appoint a known name, with some funds to bring a few fresh faces in.

They won't do anything expensive , they will do the bare minimum until they get a buyer.

Sheridan might be on their radar and he's a relegation specialist

Time will tell. We're not out of the woods yet and I don't think we're clear about their motives. Houses instead of car parks would turn a profit if that is their motivation. Or, they could have the club's best interests at heart... but they attend games about as often as you do.

Why is it disrespectful ?

What have they done for us since, apart from drive away the biggest hero the club has EVER had...??

We never hear anything from them. They are shrouded in mystery. I don't trust them.

One of them voted on a "Fans" ( ) Facebook page to sack Jim Bentley, yet later claimed he didn't.

So you've no concerns about their lack of communication, lack of investment, failure to back Jim, voting in a dodgy online poll, ever louder rumours about them wanting the land etc etc ?

That is a fair question, one we can’t give a definite answer to. What the owners have done,is bought us a couple more years, at least, but with a no more of a guaranteed future than we had before them.

Well, they have certainly done something.

They have cleared our debt that nobody else wanted to do and have paid off 2 years of losses, around £1.2M ?

It's what comes next that is the issue

Absolutely, got to be happy about that as supporters, “sprat to catch a mackerel,” though......repeat, businessmen. It’s what it takes for them to recoup, that is VERY worrying. We just have to hope for the right new owners to appear(????) Until then COYS.

The new owners got us out of the hole that PMG put us in. Right from the start, they were open that it was a 2 year plan. Yes, of course it's a worry about what happens next, but without them, I shudder to think where we may be now. At least they helped draw a line under the Diego/Abdul/Burnard fiasco.

You have totally disregarded Markys first paragraph in which he states what they have dine for us. You don't have to like them but you must appreciate what they have done. You shouldn't listen to rumours, lots of people post on here thinking they are in the know but as the last couple of days has proved, know nowt.

I know exactly what they HAVE done for us BerlinWaller, it's my bit below that concerns me now:

Lack of communication from the club can go back to the Christie Park days, way before the current owners were involved.

Lack of investment (depending on where you believe investments should be made) will always be an issue being one of the smallest clubs with the smallest attendances in the league.

Failure to back Jim? No one with any sense would offer Jim an extension whilst bottom of the table.

The land issue has been done hasn't it? With it being part of a trust it's untouchable?

Yes, the Facebook poll was completely stupid and unforgiveable but whether you like them or not, without the new owners Jim might have left 18 months ago and club might not still be in the football league.

Not disputing any of your points D, well apart from the “backing,” which if it was coming, should have been at the end of last season, way before it started going pear shaped. That aside, it does paint a pretty good picture of our current owners, which if all correct, should allow us all to realax(?) a bit. Only one option for them to make their buck; keep bankrolling us til they get the right offer, whatever it takes to make that happen. I sincerely hope you are right.

A large amount of it is not in trust, so plenty to sell & build on if the club ceases to exist.

Misleading. The integral parts i.e. ground and access road are in the Trust, so no issues there. All other land isn't owned by the Club whether it exists or not (other than the gravel car park), so the Club or its owners have no control over that either.

As I understand it, only the Trust land is protected. The buildings on it aren’t, so if we go out of business, a phoenix club does not automatically have access to the stands etc. The land around it is not ‘ours’ as such. There’s a decent amount of building land there. More than the football club is worth.

The strangest thought just came to me,completely out of the box.
Sell the globe to developers, merge with Lancaster City, Lancaster and Morecambe FC.
Bring Giant Axe up to league standard, get a grant from LCC.
Premier league in 5 years!!
