Evatt turned Fylde down, a job that Bentley deemed to be more attractive than Morecambe...so why would Evatt want your job?

Absentee owners, no guarantees in terms of contracts or budgets beyond this season, double the commute to training....if anyone can sell that dream to him, every credit.

N'ah Dave, we're a huge club, a massive draw for any manager. We'd have been in the Championship by now if it wasn't for Jim Bentley. You don't need money to be successful, budgets have nothing to do with it! We're going to piss this tinpot league now Jim's been driven out... just watch, once those thousand 'stay away fans' return... :( :(

“Morecambe is a good family club who held onto Jim in a way other clubs didn’t; that’s why he was the longest-serving manager.

“That’s their values and their loyalty – and something we should commend – but sometimes change is needed for everyone’s benefit and we’re starting the process of looking for a new manager immediately.

Haha you are showing yourself up Keith. I am not sure how long you intend to be in this state of mourning but you starting to make yourself look very silly!

You’ve got what you wanted. Now you answer this please...

1. Do you think Morecambe FC would be an attractive job for the Barrow manager?
2. Do you think the owners really have Morecambe FC’s best interests at heart or do they just want to make a profit?

Jim chose to leave Morecambe Football Club. He has given his reasons and has been professional in the way he has conducted himself during the process. That is to his credit.

Yes, I think Evatt would be tempted by a FL club. He is held in high regard over in Dumbria and has signed a new and improved contract after turning Fylde down.

I have answered your second question numerous times. They are pawn brokers.

Now, take your black clothing off and go and enjoy your holiday.

Liking your positivity, at last, hope you’re right, don’t hold your breath.

My crystal ball, says not for much longer. Hope it’s fecked.

They’re doing their job alright!!

Suits all those that called for his head, boo boys, and walk away “supporters.” “Our manager has walked, nothing to do with us ATALL.”....WRONG. Easy get out, and nicely sets up for future bullsh!te, if and when it doesn’t work out as they so confidently predicted.

My support for MFC, including all personnel, will continue 100%, as ever, which unfortunately includes the current owners. COYS.

Have you a name in mind or are you just thinking out loud, I can't think of anyone close to home who has had a big pay out recently.[/quote]
Well did you know that David Moyes lives in Lytham , he got a whacking pay out from Man Utd, he certainly has the experience and plenty of contacts at the highest level . Is he up for a challenge without a big pay packet , that's up to the bosses to find out. ;)

Coling Goldring said in an interview with Radio Lancashire that it will be the board as in Rod Taylor and Co who will be picking the next Manager and like other decisions listen and back them.

Oh and Colin also said they're in no rush to sell up, and to be fair i never heard them at any time say they were definitely going after 2yrs.

Brian McDermott's wikipedia entries show him as Morecambe manager from 2019. Looks like a spoof entry.

Not showing my age thank you Neil, just my musical knowledge (which far exceeds my football knowledge). The version in my era was actually by Bananarama, but I am fully aware The Supremes did the original. I'm not drawing my pension yet sir. :x
