Keith wrote:Rod Taylor's half times pitch announcement. Didn't catch all of it, but passionate (as you'd expect). Lots of applications for the manager job. First interviews for a vacant manager since Leighton James in the mid 1990's.

He also referred to social media and the toxic nature and he mentioned the owners. Rod said that without them, the club would have folded a while ago as they've been covering wages. Fair enough, if Rod says they are okay, I accept that.

Ultimately, we all need to pull together, and no-one can argue with that.

I heard the speach twice.

basically stop slagging the owners off, yes they've made cock ups but make no mistake we'd be bust without their money and they do actually give Rod a lot of freedom and backing to make decisions.

Brilliant from start to finish. We really got about them and dictated the game. Steven Old never had the ball at his feet and no back passes hardly. We bossed the middle of the park with Luke and the best player on the pitch, Tanner, controlling the flanks. Cole and Lewis ran hard up top and looked a threat. Sam is a top captain, love seeing it mean something to a player. Well done Kev and Baz. Positive from start to finish with well timed subs.

Rod was on the button with his words. Dispelling the myths that some on here would have you believe.

The lads behind the net were fantastic. On to Blackpool!

And what a f*cking goal to bring the new era in!!

Great win which was badly needed. Sounds as if we were the better team and kept the pressure on. 13 shots with 9 corners!

A very well done to all concerned. :D

Jeez, you two can't help yourselves... He also said fans need to come together and stop in fighting. I've already said, if Rod says they are okay, that will do for me.

it was like a breath of fresh air, attacking, shooting, not defending first at home, hardly a back pass.

a standing ovation at half time said it all for me, complete team performance with a classy goal from AJ

to finish it off :D

Thatvwas fantastic they had been working on a high pressing game and they were excellant.

We dominated possesion no long balls if anything we over played it in the final third.

We just need some flair and quality for the final ball.

Everyman was super today chased every ball and won every tackle.

I noticed Chris Squirell putting the subs through drills at half time rather than them dicking about for 15 minutes.

Luke Conlan also stopped a cross!

Brilliant from the off, took the game to em and what a goal to get that all important win, chuffed for Kev and Baz.
Enjoyed having a natter in the bar, with the ever friendly folk I've come to know down the years and that wonderful pie, devoured on the Berlin wall.

All in all, it's been a top day and nice to see everyone on here, happy and pulling in the same direction, cheers Rod :D

They tweeted yesterday that they had sold 178 tickets but it looked a good few more than that.

Played ok, but orient were very poor, one of the worst teams I’ve seen at the globe this season

We have played worse teams at the Globe this season , Walsall for example , and lost to them.

2600 is artificial as the away end was all free tickets.... hopefully some will come back after the win.

Yes Walsall were bad, but I thought orient were worse they offered nothing especially first half when halstead had nothing to do....

Kev and Baz certainly got a reaction from the players. Much needed 3 points, a home win and a clean sheet ain't bad for starters. The two stand out moments for me were the goal and Halstead's save at the end. Both top drawer.

That's the most complete performance from a Morecambe team for a very long time, from start to finish everyone was on their game working hard, closing down as a team and keeping a good shape.
Normally we get maybe a twenty minute spell in a game where we achieve that also we didn't sit back after the goal and defend deeper and deeper, as for Orient being poor its because we didn't allow them the time on the ball like we normally do so its credit to the team, its only one game but its a very positive start onwards to Blackpool.

Best game at The Globe for some time. Kept pressing and allowed the opposition on very little time and space. So pleased for Sam to be captain. Never stopped directing and communication between the defenders wax a joy to see and hear.

Everybody put in a full shift with Tutti having his best game since signing.

Mom was Gt who derived it with some excellent defending and wing play.

As for the management duo, l still want them to he in charge for the rest of the season especially after today. The entire team had respect for both and it would concern me if we brought somebody in who didn't know the players and the club. A new manager would for me upset things. So appoint them until end of season and see where was are then.

I'm not quite in agreement with Neil, but I would like to see Kev & Baz get a little time in charge. Obviously if we are going to get a permanent new manager, he (or she?) needs time to assess the squad before January. However, the way we tried to win the game from minute 1 to minute 95 was exactly what we as fans want. Also, because we were closing down in midfield, the defence was under less pressure. Given the tactics and attitude, I'd like to see Kev & Baz given at least November to establish their credentials for the role.

Excellent performance today. Good to see positive football, hardly any backpasses, and not have to suffer neck ache! The side played as a team for a well deserved rare home win! Orient stepped it up in the second half and were a danger but our lads put everything into keeping them out! A great winning goal from A-Jay and then a great save from Halstead and everyone went home happy after a rare home victory! Fireworks over the away terrace at the end too! A wondeful display! COYS
Don't worry be happy!
