Been about abit at championship level but should have plenty of experience at league two level to do a decent job. He should know plenty of contacts for players etc. The only down side is whether he can bring players in on a shoestring budget but overall his coaching experience should be good.

Agree about concerns about budget and coaching but would he be able to handle life in EFL 2 with players of less ability than those he's used to dealing with....

Location is a concern and if he was to move, who would finance that...
But what will be, will be.

However I suspect the Board in particular and possibly the Owners must feel they are under real pressure to get the right person in. As Rod said yesterday the last time we invited applications for the managers job was when we appointed Leighton James in 1994 and he didn't last very long. Sometimes with so many applicants you can be spoilt for choice. Just hope they make the right one and don't regret it.

For me my preference has been an interim appointment and then for Kevin to be appointed as I'm not sure Baz wants to get into management.
However if a decision is to make an appointment now then my top 3 would be:
Kevin
Dave Challinor
Terry McPhillips
My reasoning behind Kevin is that he knows the club; he knows the players and he knows on a day to day basis the Directors he would be reporting to. Some would say he has no experience but neither did JB and I would suggest that Kevin is his own man and would do things his way as was demonstrated on Saturday where those who sit in close proximity to him saw a very different Kevin far removed from the joker.
If the Board decided to appoint from outside then it would be DC as his record at AFC of 4 promotions in 8 seasons is exemplary. For him to be sacked after 2 visits last season to Wembley shows the kind of pressure I suspect JB will now be under. Wish him well but if he doesn't get them promoted by 2022 he'll be out!

Totally agree bm. Sat was fantastic, and still more in the locker imo. A continuation of the results, style of play, and the obvious motivation, is what is needed in the short term. No extra costs to the club either, must be a positive. That would buy the club time to consider the next move.
