Manager applications?

I like the sentiment and the thought of a Kev and Baz dream team but I don't think it's fair on them or right for the club. It is time for a change of direction and a fresh pair of eyes. What we do have is two vacancies, one assistant manager and a GK coach. Let Kev and Baz cut their teeth before lobbing them in to a relegation battle.

He did, at Slough Town, yes.

And I remember Slough fans stood behind the dugout for 90 minutes at Christie Park back in about 1997 and they were protesting most vociferously about him and his tactics......

Wow how on earth can you remeber that!

and I can't imagine Slough brought many fans

Having carried out interviews, I can't see anything other than offering someone the permanent job fairly quickly, on that basis I can't see K&B being temporary for the month or 2 that some are thinking.
If they offer the job and in the meantime we win the next 4 games, there will be quite a squabble no doubt

I think we will know by the end of the week and even if not in position the new person will be at Blackpool.

New manager must be named before the Blackpool game in MY OPINION

This will give the new man a full week before the next league game away to Crawley

If there is a new man in the stands at Blackpool and Kev & Baz get another win maybe they could be our cup managers  and manage in the next round, like when you play the reserve goalie in all the cup competitions.

A great name to throw into the hat and would be a seriously good appointment

Neil Redfearn has left Newcastle after reports suggested he had a bust up with his assistant about development of players versus results.

No reason other than that I'm afraid.

Terry McPhillips has just jumped to second favourite now on sky bet.

Strange how Baz has never moved off the favourites position despite Kev & Stew dropping down.

Where's Steve Coppell in the betting ?

I thought I saw him in The Hurley Flier earlier.

Looks as though one front runner is going elsewhere...

That for me puts Terry McPhillips in the favourite seat assuming that Kevin and Baz are not being considered.

Sky bet changed again Terry Mc is now joint favourite alongside Baz.

However on his wiki page it says:-

"McPhillips resigned as Blackpool manager on 5 July 2019, having informed the club's board that he had no long-term desire to be a manager."

According to a tangerine connection, Terry Mc was told he was on his way by the new owners before they took over from Oystons, and Grayson was always going to be appointed.
So he fell on his sword, and that was the excuse.

Apparently Rod Taylor has been saying on Radio Lancs that they have whittled down the shortlist to two.

Also it's the first time that Kevin has said he would like the job in the link to the Chester Live interview with our Kev....

:)

Elsewhere McPhillips and McDermott appear to be the favourites.

I wouldn't want the responsibility of being part of the voting on the last 2. It's one thing voting for a government but voting for a club manager? Far more important and crucial :o

Can you imagine me and MrP voting for different managers, the post appointment flack would be interesting to say the least but would no doubt be entertaining for the majority... :?:

Liking the sound of Terry Mc with possibly keV, Baz or Drummond as assistant. Let's see how things pan out.

I think McPhillips looms a good option and would be happy to work with the backroom staff we have already.

Im wondering if jason and colin see McDermott as their man and after not getting ince last year will stick to their guns this time.
