Was said Derek is looking to be bringing his own staff in?

Well just found this news, only the other day at his former club
Kevin Hodges has left Plymouth Argyle, stepping down from his position as Academy Director with immediate effect. Kevin, 59, has also served Argyle as a player and manager in an association with the club that goes back more than 40 years.

Could be purely coincidental as having a 40 year connection with Plymouth and at 59 I would be surprised if he was prepared to move up North and start a new life based up here. Could happen but doubtful... and if he did would it be in a similar role and if so what of Drummy and Co, would seem a wee bit harsh after the good work they are doing.

Nothing to say he won't. Derek might want his own choice in that area as well.

Drummy isn't directly employed by MFC, so that might make a difference

Community Sports is a charitable organisation, things will be clearer when Derek arrives today with his entourage

I had one of our car hire customers in the office yesterday to pay his money etc., and he saw all my MFC "stuff" on the wall. "Oh" he says, "you're going to be fine now. Derek Adams will have you moving up the table in no time". As he was saying this I was checking his passport and driving licence and realised that he was from Plymouth.

Further discussions showed that he was still an avid Argyle fan and believed that they should never have got rid of Adams. One other point that he made was that our players will never have been as fit as they will be once he gets to work on things (which very much agrees with other comments on here).

He (our customer) is coming back out to Cyprus in March, and he left the office with the comment that by that time he is certain that we will be nearer the top than the bottom of the league.

Let's hope that he is right; it was really good to hear a Plymouth supporter speak so positively about our new manager.

Top half by March is incredibly optimistic, and unlikely. I would take 18th!

Plymouth had much better players than ours, and a hell of a lot more money. As long as he can steer us clear from bottom, then I will be happy, anything above that would be a huge bonus. :D

If the academy staff aren't employed by MFC, then who are the 66 people stated as employed in football activities in the MFC accounts shown as 33 players/management and 33 "other" football related staff. Surely with numbers like that, they must include Drummy etc?? If not, who are they all?

Just been on the Raith Rovers forum I thought they would be full of praise for Derek but they said the same as Plymouth for two years he will be brilliant then he will fall out with everyone and it will all go wrong.

Some games we will play the best attacking football and other will be a really grim 1v0 win.

Not bothered about being brilliant just want some consistency and the chance to build Fortress Globe and to see an increase in gates that will bring in some extra finance.

2 years in football is a long time... ;)

Personally was delighted to see John Mc next to DA and wonder of he could become the new Assistant Manager after all he's got the experience of such a role and higher.

Indeed a good question, but the CS does have its own accounts with wages and outgoings, also 1/3rd of its income from the FL and other charitable donations. nobody earning more than £60K and no income from MFC, but you know what accounting procedures are like.
You may be surprised by how many 'staff' there are around the place albeit a lot of part time and matchday
I did say 'directly ' employed to cover myself, lol
