5-0

I think we might struggle to get back in to this.

Crewe have had 30 attempts today. That’s a shot every 3 minutes plus 12 corners

We have been totally totally battered

Always on the cards, bloody good side and Moose has em well drilled.

Derek should turn his attention to the Carlisle game and very winnable now

Actually a good job we don't have a game next Saturday, it gives Derek a free weekend, so a bit more time to work with the squad. Today we looked poor even before going behind. Referee getting a big decision wrong, not giving a clear penalty, may have made a difference, but we were second best.

Next game is a MASSIVE six pointer for us.

Agree. Second half of last season was brilliant. This is the worst squad we have had in my opinion and I still worry about the squad improving and staying up. I am optimistic though and January can’t come soon enough, again. -19 GD

Crewe had 71% of the possession which tells it's own story. Time for DA to read the riot act but nothing will change until January when our manager brings in his type of player assuming that our silent owners release some money.

No complaints from me, and hopefully it will show Derek the nature box his huge rebuilding job he has on his hands.

He evidently relishes a challenge.....boy has he now got one... :(

Wasn't easy for Jim and it won't be for Derek but after witnessing the Leyton game, I'd say there's plenty of positives to come.
Games turn on sending offs but today was lost before a ball was even kicked, some just couldn't see that

Mfc
Is right
first out will probs be kenyon he's not a league player, it shows that by his stalling on signing a contract, and I don't think another team came in for him,but I wouldn't have offered him one,not sure on O'Sullivan not done much to impress yet, Sutton and old seem slow, conlon falls asleep in games, tanner and Sam are probs the best two defenders we have, can also see some of the fringe players being released/contract terminated to bring players in,
Wonder why AJ didn't feature, mind if he's has a niggle hamstring no use risking it on a game we have already lost

Little bit of a gap appearing above the bottom 2. As said above the Carlisle game now becomes huge

Send Miller back and Lewis is out of contract in January. Plenty of loans still be used and I am pretty sure DA will have asked the question before taking the job.

Ken and Lee Jones have been replaced in house so 2 more off the wage bill

Miller has been a waste of time.

Defence is awful and lets hope changes can be made in January. A pity Ryan Cresswell signed for Romford as he is the sort of defender we need.

DA can only play the cards he has been dealt until January. It is a totally unbalanced squad that needs sorting out. Would DA sign Alex Kenyon or Richie Sutton? I doubt it. He will need to strengthen through the middle with some quality.

Just ignore MPH. His source has dried up so he has nothing to offer except poor attempts at being a WUM.

The end of Dereks interview is very interesting today about the make up of the squad.

Today, against a play off quality team, desperate for a bounce in their form, we were 2nd best early doors, understandably. They “hammered” us down our left side, and were able to get far too many crosses into the box, and their first goal was just a matter of when, from the tactic. It was a storm, that was always going to happen, and needed to be weathered, but for me, even at 2-0, we weren’t out of the game. The INCORRECT red card decision, and two deflected goals, dictated the game completely, and “put it to bed,” unfortunately for us. I don’t agree that we were awful at the start, just under the cosh. The run of the game, then dictated everything.. unjust scoreline, Crewe’s tails up, down to 10, change of shape/ game plan, confidence/ morale shot down, etc, etc, near impossible task.
Carlisle is a big game, but one we can definitely win.

I had the carlisle game down as 3 points out of the 7 I'd forecast, when the next 6 games thread appeared,
Nothing at Crewe or Plymouth, which makes this game paramount.
