I (like a few no doubt), wasn't too sure about this young lad---but I now feel that if his team-mates stay very alert every time he has the ball, (due to his disguising of a pass; which he is good at) things are going to happen for the better in my opinion.

Yes , agreed. This lad could turn out to be a real star for the club and earn a huge transfer fee for the club in the years to come. I am glad Derek has spotted his potential and given him a licence to do what he is good at.

Still a bit dodgy at times, like Bamby on ice! First half yesterday, headless chicken, like an eight year old chasing the ball. Second half, superb! A couple of his flicks and back heels etc were really high quality. Like you say, his team mates need to be really alert when around him, because he will see passes that most wouldn't. Against Plymouth, he was my MotM, attacking well and working hard to track back & defend too.

I can't wait to see him get a goal, hopefully soon, because I think his confidence will soar when he does.

I raved about his 2nd half performance on the Ifollow topic and it's good to see a post about him. He will become invaluable. A ball carrying midfielder who is young with his prime years in front of him. He is a strong lad who gets up after a knock and wants the ball again. He will get caught out and lose the ball but he offers so much to a team. I bet the defence are glad to see him carrying the ball instead of it coming back time and again. A run in the team and like Keith says, a goal or 2 and he will be flying.

The lad needs nurturing and confidence. Someone said Kev ran to him and congratulated him after setting up one of the goals - it's what he needs. He made a few appearances last year but then disappeared which will have done nothing for his confidence. Great that he's made it back into the team, hopefully for longer this time. Onwards and upwards for him! Agree with what others are saying - the players around him need to be aware of what he's doing as it's not the "same old" Morecambe way of playing. Fantastic work ethic - the lad will go far, let's hope we can get plenty of goals out of him and then a huge transfer fee!

Always had my doubts about him making the first team, always thought he looks out of his depth.

However on Saturday he impressed me, I like how he carry’s the ball and then plays reverse balls the other way for players to get onto.

Id now go as far a saying he’s our most skillfull player, If Macclesfield go bust, then I’d be playing him every minute this season to develop him, basically blood him him for next season and at the same time increase his value ££££££

Agree with everything above, just hope that the Board recognize his potential and worth to our club before someone comes along and pinches him when his contract is up for renewal.

For me I'd get him and Jagne signed up for at least another season (preferably a couple of seasons at the very least) .

Don't want some bigger club to come in with an offer that is below his value long term to our club.

Keith said 8 year old, I thought 12 in the first half, falling over the ball and leaving it behind, but you can see something there and I'm so glad Derek is giving him a proper run. I was surprised he started the game at Plymouth and was pleased he got another on Saturday, taking him off at the end for a round of applause.
He did really well second half and will only get better.

Only played bit parts previously over a few years, but has played more minutes in a week than before.
Would like to see him play alongside his mate Lamin soon
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

He looks bright again today, going forwards and tracking back, encouraging stuff for the 3rd game running.

Totally agree JTW, but imo, he seemed to run out of steam, a good while before he was subbed. He certainly worked hard and did some running, so not surprising.

Carlos should have been man of the match today. This run that Adams is giving him in the starting eleven is doing him wonders and hopefully the goal today will give him confidence. Keep it up Carlos.

Agree with all of that! When the MotM was announced, there was a stunned silence! Carlos easily MotM. Worked hard going forwards and in defence and scored a goal. Came off the pitch, running on empty. My MotM two of the last three games.

He must have tackled and won the ball from the opposition half a dozen times. A class performance. O’Sullivan should take note.

O'Sullivan drifts through games. He is technically sound but doesn't get involved enough to be a long term centre mid.

Delighted that DA is giving Carlos an extended run. Deserved to be MoM yesterday but didn't get it for some unknown reason.

So pleased he's opened his goal scoring account which will only help him grow in confidence.

Carlos got my MOTM. He's been doing well in the reserves for long while, was in and aroubd the first team last season, but now he's been given three first team starts by the new manager, his quality, skills and potential are there for all to see. Well done Carlos and DA and really pleased with first League goal yesterday! Time to get his contract extended!

Plus that of Jagne who also shows great potential in my opinion.

Carlos had a good game, but for me Stockton was awesome up front and fully deserved his MOTM award
