Last of 2019

Well Cambridge is the last game of 2019,and some players are already drinking at the "last chance saloon" some are probably halfway down the glass :D
So let's give it a good go, I have noticed a better playing mentality under DA,but for those who move on thanks for the effort and good luck

I suspect some players will be leaving the saloon shortly! I suspect departures will include all or some of Alessandra, Tutte, Wildig and Buxton. Believe several will be heading to AFC Fylde. Not sure about Cranston's position. On his day good enough to be in the squad but wonder if DA doesn't rate him. 4 new players coming in!

I believe you could be right about some heading to AFC but I don't think that's the calibre of players that they need, you want young hungry players to get you promoted not journey men after their last hoorah but we'll see

Out with old (not Steve Old) in with the new! Previous regimes have always strengthened in January and i'm hopeful this will continue. 4 players would be great if they help improve the team. After all the only way is up! :D

Really looking forward to Shrimps(New) strengthening further come January. We are staying up.

Fylde will put whatever money is required to achieve, but their top man isn’t just going to make it an open door, if he feels the management are making the wrong decisions. Can’t imagine much room for manoeuvre with them, whoever you are.

'4 players coming in'. You know this for fact, or is this a prediction ?

As long as 4 players go out then it is quite likely 4 will come in unless DA wants a smaller squad.

With AFC Fylde 2-1 down at home today it may mean JB is more keen to sign some players from Morecambe.

Not quite sure how that theory works to be honest. Sign players, yes, from Morecambe ?????

Previous regimes have always strengthened in January

In the last few days of January I think,
when the only ones left are the ones no one else came in for similar in the summer window too

I'm sure our ex-manager would have liked to start earlier too!!! For that, you need MONEY!!! If you have no cash, you can't be competitive, so you have to search through the scraps that are left.

It sounds like Derek has been backed with cash, which is a welcome change.

So how did that work out then?

Could be wrong but if DA has some money for the transfer window I bet it's as a result of JB leaving as I wouldn't be surprised that if JB had still been with us NO money would have been made available by our owners to JB.

If that were true Neil, it would speak volumes about the owners, fortunately it's all in your head

Know what you mean, the Owners know we’re in a relegation battle and surviving is very achievable if they back Derek.

Oh and Neil it seems you have a “Cyber Stalker”

Might be the potential new owners.

Of course it’s possible the money for new signings will come from the sale of a player! Are we losing Sam Lavelle?

Can't see it myself, if your having problems defending, why would you sell your best player in that department?

It would depend on whether DA has any good defenders on his wish list and Sam is probably the only player who could be sold for decent money. Carlos's valuation will also have gone up and I would expect scouts at our games will have noted his name but I would rather we develop him and then receive a big fee for him.
