I agree, far too many easy goals being conceded. If Baz isn't coming back then we need someone to stop the leakage.

Agreed , both goals against Oldham came from keeper errors. He has a 2 year deal so unless someone comes in for him we have to go with Mark and Baz.

The LAST man of 11. He isn’t going to be 100% flawless , but has made plenty of class/ quality saves.

If money is available, then there are more important areas to strengthen than 'keeper. Mark is a good first choice and Barry will do as back up if needed for the rest of the season. Midfield & up front need strengthening first. Defence will need adding to if Sam goes. Wouldn't want to see Luke going as well. Strengthen and get us through to summer without going down, then rebuild. Hopefully.

Not took much notice of the Sam Lavelle rumours, but now you mention it Keith and being close friends of some of the Match day “pre informed one’s” I’m now starting to wonder

As much as I don't want to see Sam go at the moment though his departure to a club in the Championship for example is inevitable eventually, the fee we would get for him if he left in this transfer window MUST go towards a team rebuild and therefore it is for the greater good that any transfer of Sam would be regretfully welcomed.....

I wonder if the rumour about central defender Demetriou has some mileage.... :?:

Sam's departure could also see the gradual blooding over the remainder of the season and certainly next of exciting prospect central defender Ibrahim Bakare.... :?:

Joe Nuttall from Blackpool on loan according to twitter.

Can see the Luke Conlan one happening. I reckon he will be replaced a 6ft+ full back.

He had one save to make against Oldham , a ball that bounced several times before it reached him. He could have thrown his cap on it but it came out of his hands into the path of Oldham's centre forward. For the 2nd goal he flapped at a cross that he should have caught and after a bit of pinball it was in our net These are basic errors and are costly , I don't dispute he also makes great stops.

No goalkeeper at our level is faultless.

Baz's shot stopping especially from a distance is poor and has resulted in many goals being scored against us over the last few seasons.

I think the goalies position is safe, done a great job since displacing Baz and not that long ago
folk were moaning that he wasn't getting a fair crack of the whip.

Really can't see him featuring for us again so he either sits on his aristotle for the remainder of his contract and vegetates or gets a move to somewhere he'll be used.
