Just wish we could be in a position to be able to afford a decent striker. DA acknowledges that we have a lack of quality up front and as much as I want the new lad to succeed I have my concerns about his goal scoring record. However would love to be proved wrong.

They are dreaming if they think they will get £175k.

More like £50k but that's out of our range by about £48k

According to Wiki Oswell has scored 3 in 32 appearances for Wrexham. Mmmmm!!!!

Oswell got 25 in 40 for Stockport, so quite a fall down the ladder, good bit of business for us last January

Strikers need the assists to score goals regularly at this level of course so,perhaps, he isn't getting the service he got at Stockport. Or maybe his confidence is completely gone. Definitely a disappointment with us.

Interesting thing from that article I noticed that it was Cheltenham Town who bid £175,000

'Cheltenham, then a League Two club, had a bid of £175,000 rejected in the summer of 2018 but any potential fee would now be much-reduced due to the striker's contract situation'.

Wow, I always considered Cheltenham to be not that far ahead of us in the pecking order, but that tends to suggest that some clubs have far more resources than you might imagine. Puts it in perspective what we are up against!
