Macclesfield Town have today been issued with a misconduct charge by the EFL, further to the non-fulfilment of our Sky Bet League Two fixture against Plymouth Argyle last month.

Shouldn't that be 'THEIR' non-fulfilment... :o

Should be a 4 point deduction and they have a tough game tomorrow night so the table should look better after the law takes its course.

These quotes were taken from Macclesfield Town website so they are actually correctly worded

When you don’t put “...” then it can be a tad misleading on what the quote is and what you’re actually saying - interesting thing to bring up though, we need all the help we can get at the moment and from a selfish and ‘short-termist’ point of view I’d value our place in the EFL ahead of theirs!!

The four points is suspended from their previous deduction so that’ll be taken off plus I’d imagine a further punishment for this one. Could be further 10 with 4 suspended again?

Why would these 3 ask to leave if there really was any chance of a new owner? Afraid they are doomed. Players and staff have done all they can. So sad for all.

I would think Archibald will be one of them. I expect he will go higher than us unfortunately , he would have been a decent signing.

Could be they are just so fed up with not knowing what's going on, and maybe they could have already been in talks with others.

Logic dictates that further punishment in terms of points deductions will be forth coming, given that not a lot has changed since Macc were first penalised and similar transgressions have occurred - but who knows, this is the EFL after all! There's no transparency in how independent panels come to their decisions, or consistency applied by the EFL in this area IMO. It should be in black and white, but some clubs appear to be treated differently (Bolton).

Think it's a bit of both

4 points suspended

Appeal against 6 points already deducted
