At least it's another wage saved for Derek to spend on a replacement.

Not too pee on your chips, but I'm pretty sure Rod paid/raised the money for this one so don't see Derek getting owt

Something doesn’t sit too well between DA, and LA. The second time he has released him.
Good luck to Lewis, hope he does well at Carlisle. Still our joint top goal scorer, from a period of our season, when things were difficult, and nothing was going to plan.

I doubt we are saving money with bringing in 5 players this just balances it out and I doubt we were contributing much to Tanner's wage.

I'm not convinced we will be able to ship out some of the other contracted players and think they will sit on their contracts until summer.

Same lot were more than happy to see RB leave to us last season. Look how that ended up.
They “know best,” though. ;)

A tad disappointed to see Lewis go. I thought he looked good playing up top for us at the start of the season, just clearly lacking a bit of confidence. Unfortunately he was then moved to a shadow striker/attacking mid role, or out wide, both of which I felt weren't his best positions.

For me, he seemed the most likely to be our top goalscorer. Obviously DA sees it differently, and I back him to come good (after all he has a proven track record of attacking, goal scoring football!)

Best of luck for the future Lewis, and thanks for your hard work this season.

I've always been a fan of Alessandra. He's got skill and creativity that is pretty rare in this league.

Slightly less bothered about him being released than I would be if Carlos hadn't just come through.

D A may not have wanted allesandra to go
but he has stated the squads un balanced ,,, in lewis position u could have wildig Ellison Stockton miller howard carlos to name a few
it was always a short term contract , it maybe because no one looking to take any one off our hands that D A hand has been forced , he possibly knew this since arriving at the club so lewis not figured as no future,, business is business

Worth clarifying the above comments to add that a contract extension was offered to Lewi and he turned us down, as the official website states: https://www.morecambefc.com/news/2020/j ... ambe-exit/

When you're getting turned down by the likes of Allesandra you know times are tough! Thought his first stint with us was better than the latter, but to be honest he never really set the world on fire. As usual probably offered better terms by CUFC, so good luck to him and them. #It's a short career, grab the money while you can.

Could it be he didn't want to play for Derek?

According to the Shrimps website he was offered a contract extension so why would he not feature in Derek’s plans?
