Pedantic I know but........

Hest Bank is in Lancaster

Pedantic and also wrong. The residents of Hest Bank would be horrified to think they were part of Lancaster.

That is for postal purposes only.

Bentham and Clapham (in Yorkshire !) also have postal addresses of Bentham , Lancaster and Clapham Lancaster but they do not regard themselves as part of Lancaster !

I've lived in two houses in Hest Bank and they were both Lancaster, never heard of Hest Bank, Morecambe.

I know what you mean though, as Ingleton is Carnforth for postal purposes

That's what I meant , only for postal purposes is Hest Bank mentioned with Lancaster due to the LA postcode.

Talk Sport want Joshua v Fury at the Globe Arena :)

So we’ve decided the logical conclusion would just be to host the fight at Morecambe F.C’s home ground.

Fury still lives in Morecambe, where he can be found dragging round a traditional gypsy wagon from time to time. It would be quite the homecoming.

The Globe boasts a 6,476 capacity and the finest pie you will ever encounter.

Since I am, like Keith, not a boxing fan, I've been thinking a bit about this, and if we were potentially going to give up the chance to sell the naming rights (not that there's been any indication from the club that they would), then personally I'd rather see a name more readily associated with the club: how about, for the Centenary year, the J B Christie Stadium? Might even win back a few lost supporters from the Christie Park days.

With Manchester, Lancashire, Er Morecambe legend Tyson topping his bank balance up by some considerable amount would it be a bit cheeky to ask him for the community block and 4g pitches back at a reduced cost . He would hardly notice it and we could take back control of the Berlin Wall side for future redevelopment ?

Great idea....

Buy back and then rent the community block back to him.

However doubt he would go for it with his bank balance.....

Just watched highlights on YouTube of the fight...wouldn't like to get into an arguement with either of them.

Listened to a radio interview with Tyson yesterday and admitted that when he comes to retire he hasn't a clue what he will do having already tried golf, fishing and shooting. Maybe a tour of Britain in his caravan pulled by a team of horses which would be reminiscent of his childhood.... :?: :?: :?:

All this arguing.
Tyson has recently purchased the large detached house on Oxcliffe Rd with the stone eagles.
So far he has kept both houses.
This house is in Heaton with Oxcliffe, Morecambe.

Fury deserves a home coming, and also a statue on the front! Best boxer on the planet, and he resides in Morecambe. :D

Superb...liked how Frank called him 'arry at the end..... :D :D :D

Just a shame that Tyson doesn't seem interested in showing up at the start of a game to receive the plaudits of the home fans...and a few away as well.

Tyson talks of having nothing to do when he retires. Hopefully then he will show an interest in the club, particularly if he's spending more time in his gym. He's certainly putting the town on the map.
