Morecambe 1 [Wildig] Crewe 1LIVE iFollow Thread

Good game to watch so far, Crewe having slightly the better of it, but we’re going toe to toe with one of the best teams in the league, passing the ball nicely and creating chances. Lots to be encouraged by once again.

Slew reminds me if Joe Mswali looks tricky and unpredictable but no end product.

Poorly defended corner. Crewe started strongly again while we're still in the changing room.

Wildig yellow card for a very, very late challenge, could easily have been red. A decent chance from a corner that they managed to head almost off the line. Game is more scrappy at the moment.

Still no commentary.

Carlos had a great run and shot that hit the crossbar from a narrow angle.

Wasn't a penalty, but should have been a free kick to Crewe just outside the penalty area.

Been effective today against a very good full back

Really? I must be at a different game. Cranston running after the ball making tackles whilst Slew stands watching him. Anyway, off now for Sully.

Great work from Cooney who played in Phillips. Phillips' dinked the ball over the defence, keeper punched it clear but Wildig hit the ball cleanly in to the bottom corner! Let's get another! :D

WOW! A bit of good luck for a change, their lad beat Cranston, then hit a shot past Mafoumbi which rebounded at speed off the post and straight in to Mafoumbi's arms!

We had a fantastic attack prior to this when Carlos flicked the ball over his own head and beat two players, then released O'Sullivan... on to Jordan with a great cross.

A-Jay off for Bradbury

Cooney my MotM, great defending and some good crosses. Wildig gone off but he's played really well.

Carlos gets the MotM from the sponsors but Stevie D & Glenn both thought Cooney too.

Phillips red card on 93rd minute. Harsh perhaps, it wasn't dangerous although clearly took their lad out with the ball long gone so no real complaints.

Great game of football with some excellent individual performances from us: Wildig, CMG & Cooney in particular. Thought Bradbury put a good shift in, definitely offers something different for defenders to think about.

I thought the ref had a good game as well, didn't cave in to their ranting and raving and sadly a deserved red at the end.

great point!

Bradbury only seen him briefly but looks like he can jump his height well!

Home games at the Globe have never been as good, starting to become a fortress at long last!
