2 realistic realistic objectives.

1) stay undefeated at home, a fortress at long last.

2) finish above Macclesfield and Stevenage, so nobody can say we we’re lucky because of Bury etc, and some respect.

Given that the team is playing well and that Stevenage are dead as a dodo, a respectable finish of 4th from bottom would be good, anything higher would be a great bonus, then Derek's hard work starts in the close season.

Those Burnley lads have done him proud, might he try and sign them?

To be honest, I think they are both destined for a much higher level, Burnley have nearly all their under 23's out on loan with Steve Stone watching them constantly and their actual U23 team consists of mostly U18'S!!

I think given their performance for us, and the fact that they are getting a lot of game time, will stand us in good stead for future loans from Burnley though, and they have a lot of excellent young players coming through their academy.

With the 2 Burnley Lads, i feel Cooney would be missed more at R/B, because with Philips we’ve plenty of other options in Midfield plus the unexpected form of Wildig.

I don't think finishing above Mansfield is beyond probably, but I'd love to see us finish above Carlisle. Given what Andy D day's about making the Globe a fortress, I can see the possibility of us catching both.

To be in this position with so many games left is fantastic. In October we were dead and buried with little chance of turning it round. By the end of Feb we are hunting teams down and I would fancy us getting at least a point in all of those games. Nobody turns us over easily anymore and nobody gets an easy game against us. Going unbeaten at home until the end of the season would be amazing, there is a real buzz at home games and hopefully this will continue.

100% agree with this. Is this our longest unbeaten home run at The Globe?

I agree entirely, Cooney has been superb. If we can't sign him, and I doubt if Burnley will be letting him go yet, I wonder whether Tanner may return if he is released from United? Unless a deal has already been agreed, he enjoyed his time here and apparently didn't want to leave. Now he's with Moneybags City, he isn't even getting on the bench, so he can't even put himself 'in the shop window'.

So how did that work out then?

Maybe the top man will return from his Oldham sabbatical, now his time is up
