Acer Aspire One 725 O/T

Acer Aspire One 725 O/T

Postby jbc.shrimp » Wed Apr 08, 2020 1:44 pm

Any help grateful. I came across an old Acer mini laptop recently. Three ladies have login details for, but because it's been out of use for at least 12 months they have all forgotten their details. I've been on Youtube and tried every method suggested on there to get to factory reset with no luck, it just keeps going straight to the Windows home screen before login. The model is the title running Windows 8. Many thanks guys.

Do you have an Operating System disk?

So how did that work out then?

Does it have a USB connection?

If I know what I'm looking at, yes it does. Rectangular ports about 1/2 inch long ?

Many thanks Brian, but no. Even with both buttons depressed it still took me straight to the rainbow effect Windows screen.

Disconnect power supply, remove battery, and leave for 10 minutes.
Then replace power and turn on. It should now let you do what Brian suggested.
