Very sad, but understandable. If it was a protest March however, it would have been fine

Now don't be silly Marky. I'm pretty sure that people choosing to attend a protest march do not have to adhere to the Health & Safety at Work Act do they?

So how did that work out then?

Maybe the council were worried about crowds gathering at the Globe and on route?

They disobeyed the law, they were advised not to do it as we're still in the middle of a pandemic but no doubts they'll be the first to rack up for your NHS to deal with.

Only if you were fool enough to follow a law breaker and most with any sense haven't, slightly different when those of a higher risk group congregate in their thousands but that's their selfish choice I guess.

I’m not defending the protestors, just pointing out some are allowed to do what they want, with the PMs backing, while others follow the rules.

An event for Christian would come under Health & Safety at Work.
A protest event doesn't.

I wasn't passing judgment one way or another, simply pointing out that the two are not equal.

The event did take place but in the Manchester area I understand.

Such a shame that our the local council decided to call a halt to it whilst another took no action assuming that they knew of its existence.

Whatever, well done to all those who took part especially those in Scotland...

:) :) :)
