O/T Is there going to be a reprieve for Stevenage

Postby fulwoodshrimp » Sat Jul 04, 2020 2:06 pm

I see the EFL have appealed the Independent Panel's decision to penalise Macclesfield only 2 points for their failure to pay players on time. The EFL believe the offence warrants more penalty points. This could clear the way for Stevenage to remain in League 2 and Macclesfield being relegated. The Stevenage chairman seems to have influence and may yet save his team from non-league football.

As I suggested a few months ago.

What's the point in having an independent panel if their decisions are appealed against by the EFL which is also independent of the football clubs.

You've got it all wrong GS. The independent panel are there to come up with the same answers as the EFL. That's why they're called independent. ;)

What is the point of having a suspended sentence then when it is breached you get another suspended sentence? Surely the suspended sentence should become full, especially the second time!

Unprecedented times but they had a full season of being poor and it never looked for one moment they would get away from bottom place.
Shouldn't even be up for debate.

Agreed , they only won 3 games and one of them was a 1-0 late goal win against Morecambe in what turned out to be Jim's final game as manager.

We were so bad you could argue it doesn't really count, so basically 2 wins

Awful to watch, it was written on the cards having tried to simply hang on.

Pretty clear at the end of the game with the body language of Jim, Ken and Sam
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think
