Welcome to the forum!

Depends if the Isle of Man ferry goes to Liverpool or Heysham! 8-)

I know a guy who lives over in Peterborough, Canada that has been to a game or two. If that counts.

I travel from Sleaford (Lincolnshire). Not every game due to work and other commitments but do try to get to as many as I can. 370 mile round trip in total.

I managed to get to 1 home game last season from HK. Wish I could get to more, but ifollow and freez and co do a fantastic job helping me stay in touch with the team I've followed since childhood.

For any long distance supporter who can't get to a game, ifollow is absolutely amazing and a must to subscribe to.

We are season ticket holders and go to all home games and a lot of away games when work allows. It's a 130 mile round trip which isn't an issue, but the real issue is that we both work most Saturdays and we are up at 4am and I don't finish until 1_30pm, so it's a mad rush to get there for kick off. You can imagine how knackered we are when we arrive back home at 6_30pm!

To all those who have to travel a fair distance to watch OUR team they have my appreciation but it puts those locals to shame who can't be bothered but suddenly appear in their thousands when Wembley beckons.

The past few seasons have been tough but those long distance supporters deserve a season where we collectively are looking up ....... not down..... :) :) :)

I come from Bristol. Try to get to at least 5 home games a season but I do work away a lot, away games are easier obviously, places like Cheltenham, Swindon, Forest Green are easy to get to!

As I live between Plymouth and Exeter and can no longer drive long distances you can imagine my horror when Torquay then Yeovil dropped from our league. Then this year Plymouth get promoted and guess who I was rooting for in the playoffs.

Great thread, well done all of you.
It puts the local betting shop know all’s to shame, they claim to be football fans but spend money on betting on premiership instead of supporting a local team.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Pascha, keep texting and we will always give you a shout out!

Aspers is around still in Sydney, met up with him in December, he was in good form and very hospitable.
Good question re USA Shrimp, Rich appears to have gone very quiet which is concerning, hope he’s ok!

210 mile round trip for home games for me. The midweek games actually seem like an easier trip than the Saturday games as the roads are usually nice and quiet.
Fingers crossed that we can be back in the ground soon.

You should start a match day Zoom group. Could Freez host one whilst commentating but without showing any live action?

That could be fun, although there is a lag when watching games, so some people would be cheating a goal before other people have seen it or heard the commentary! I have to knock the 'goal updates' off because there would sometimes be a goal 'ping' before a corner/free kick/whatever had taken place!

Although I am pretty sure that this post was really about supporters who actually travel to matches (as opposed to supporters who "support from afar" - such as myself), I felt it OK to post on here about the fact that in my office here in Cyprus (I sell insurance and arrange car hire), I have a poster behind my desk about MORECAMBE FC making it quite clear that they are my team.

The other day I had a new customer walk in, who took one look at the poster and burst into a huge smile saying "THAT'S FANTASTIC". All you normally see or hear about are folks claiming to support one of the major premiership teams. This (i.e Morecambe) is what true football is about, LOVE IT.

And by the way, he says " I am an Exeter City fan - and YES, I was there at Wembley when you beat us to get into the League". There followed a good long chat ....... oh yes, and a new insurance customer!!

As the guy said "THAT'S WHAT TRUE FOOTBAL IS ABOUT". :D :D :D

Back in the early '00s I was a founder member of the Leeds Shrimps. I used to drive Philja and Castaway to a lot of games and there was also a guy called Aidy who took us to a match or two at CP.

I ended up spending a few stints in Chiang Mai, Thailand and had to listen to Wembley on Radio Lancashire. Celebrated by riding round the city on a moped waving my MFC scalf!

Castaway moved to OZ and believe is now in Peru? Philja emigrated to Bute, Montana!

Yep, Tom always texts in while watching in Peru, as for Philja, he’s now shooting stuff in Montana as Wild Bill has said.
Although I do invite him on the Magic Bus, for old times sake! :D
