Shrimps Signed Shirts & Memorabilia

Hi everyone,

First of all, a huge thank you to Keith for letting me post the following on here - it's great to "meet" you all and I wish the Shrimps the very best for your coming centenary season!

I'm actually a Huddersfield Town fan (please don't hold it against me - we have enough of our own troubles to deal with right now!) but wanted to pop my head in as I currently have two signed Morecambe shirts available in my eBay shop at the moment and thought this might be of interest to the community as MFC memorabilia!

The shirts in question are brand new, signed versions of the 2015-16 home shirt (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274435196409 and the 2016-17 home shirt (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274435199821. The items start at a low bid of £10.99, so you may well be able to grab yourself a bargain!

Thanks all and please do just let me know if you have any questions. I'm away over the weekend so it might be worth messaging me via eBay for a quicker response, but I'll do my very best to get back to you ASAP.

Once again, all the best for next year and I hope that HTAFC & MFC paths get to cross soon - I'd love a trip over to the Globe Arena in the near future!

All the best,
Chris (frags_to_stitches/"rageofed" on the HTAFC DownattheMac forum)

Thanks Chris , I will have a look and maybe a bid.

Good luck to The Terriers , I was amazed that the Cowley Brothers were fired after doing what seemed a pretty good job.

Thanks Gone_Shrimping!

Yes, I think it's fair to say many Town fans were in shock too! Personally, I really liked the Cowleys - they're straight talking, down to earth, and had a good connection with us fans. They also came into a horrible situation with the club in an absolute mess following the Premier League escapades, so it was really gutting to see them treated that way. I think as the dust has settled it has become more apparent that the club wanted to get back to a Head Coach/Director of Football approach and the Cowleys were just too much in the traditional "Manager" mould for it to work any longer. I wish them all the best though and there'll be a club that really benefits from their attitude and approach.

All the best to the Shrimps too! How are you feeling about the upcoming season?

We've got so used to looking towards the bottom and possible relegation that to many it's become the norm however unacceptable it may be.

Hopefully with a new manager on board and a totally different mind set to the previous manager it could be a season where mid table is deemed to be a success. Certainly for this old 'git' mid table would be more than a welcome change.

However as always with our club it'll be down to finance and how DA can wheel and deal in the market.

So much of that sounds familiar! I believe that Town have lost more games than any other club in the last two seasons, so a mid-table rebuild doesn't sound too bad for us either. I suppose given the last few months, that wouldn't be such a bad outcome when clubs are seriously facing going out of business. Let's hope both of ours come through unscathed!!

Cautiously optimistic is how I feel at present.

The new manager seems to have good contacts judging by the players he acquired in January so I am hoping to have a season where we are in the top half of the league.

I have been to Leeds Road in years gone by to watch the Terriers , I have a cousin in Ossett who is a big fan so I have seen a few HTFC ganes.
