Former Shrimps Thread

Looking like Rhys Oates could be going back to Hartlepool.

I quite liked him as a player , pity he was injured most of the time since Derek took charge so no chance to stake a claim.

What a waste! He's better than that

True, on the other hand the Scottish season starts next week with plenty of coverage on Sky, so he will get game time (if he's match fit) and his club will get TV money. Scottish Prem not a bad place to be right now for players at EFL 1 and 2 level.

Anybody wanting a bit of nostalgia (and maybe a bit of a laugh, although no disrespect intended to any players mentioned), click onto Page 1 (or 2 or 3) of this post and have a read.

Dave Artel is in the running for the Bournemouth manager's job.

Funny how things can change in football. Wasn't that long ago that Artel was blasted by the Crewe fans and then lead them to promotion.

Wonder where Jimbo would have been now had he been a success with us..... :?: :?: :?:

That’s a pretty big catch! As the now famous quote goes from Gino D’Acampo, “If my grandmother had wheels she’d have been a bike”

Bit disappointed with this tbh, was hoping our little spell he had would tempt him back, but don’t even know if we were in for him. Good lad for Carlisle though. Unfortunately. :?

Money talks and an improved contract on that offered at Northampton has proved too lucrative to reject.

Don't blame him for one minute moving on for money. It's a short career in football so you go where the money is.....and obviously Steve Evans likes the way BigV puts himself about so will suit the style played under the 'fat man'.... :)

I thought Paul was a better defender than Hardiker but it was the latter that got the big move.

I was sat with a Man City fan watching Stockport beat Man City in the Championship, with Hardiker scoring twice. Man City in the Championship? Stockport County in the Championship? How times change indeed!

So how did that work out then?
