Closer to home (well not literally!) Crawley Town announced that their League Cup game in September will be used as a test event with a crowd. As part of their protocols (each club is devising their own procedures) access to their stadium will be limited to season ticket holders initially.
I hope Morecambe FC consider doing a full test event to make sure their protocols work and are efficient, because invariably something will crop up that had not previously been considered. Rochdale announced that they are looking to admit fans from October 3rd - subject to government approval. Assuming we are working to the same timetable and can fans can attend the home game vs Port Vale, why not do a test event on the only other league game scheduled at the Mazuma and limit this to season ticket holders? I think we have around 650 (based on a conversation a few years ago) so that would give a good sample to work with, whilst also adding value to being a season ticket holder and also the administrative hassle of potentially refunding season ticket holders for games they can't attend.
Hello! Hello! We are the Morecambe boys!
