Fuller than they were a week or two ago, and full in a few weeks according to Chris Witty

But that happens every flu season/ norovirus season doesn't it?

Do we have to wait 2 more weeks?

How will those people "dying at home because they can't get treatment" be able to get treatment if the hospitals are even more full?

Very nearly. That's the point! 96% acute bed occupancy and climbing. Royal Preston Hospital reports a third of ICU beds occupied by people with COVID-19 and climbing. If infection rates continue at the current rate, you've got less than 14 days left before the NHS falls apart.

So how did that work out then?

Yes! FFS! IT HAPPENS EVERY FLU SEASON!

Now is NOT the flu season! Bed occupancy at this time of year is generally around 85% to 88%. Being 6% higher (and climbing) leaves no capacity when we do reach flu season.

R Rate fell but still above one, so still climbing.

If the R rate is above 1 then the virus is growing. I am not up on current stats, however if say the rate drops from 1.5 to 1.4, then the growth rate is still growing, just at a slightly slower rate than before. Only when the R rate falls below 1 is the virus in retreat.

People would rather wear lanyards from eBay than wear a mask.

The government has made a complete mess of this from day one and now most people’s trust in them has gone.

So who’s at fault then, the government making the rules or the people ignoring them.
Masks are to be worn when shopping inside but I was in the Heysham co- op on Thursday morning, three other people in there with me and only one of us ( me) wearing a mask.
That’ll be Boris’s fault as well I suppose

Masks should have been mandatory from day one, but the government didn’t enforce it.....

And the 0.03% chance of dying is basically dividing the death rate by everyone, when everyone hasn’t had it.
If you look at the actual figures it’s a 4% death rate.

Glad you found your log in details after we won a game, nice to see.

Is asking a question not classed as research? I asked a question and got a very good response so i now know.

Meaning?

Actually, I was using your quote from earlier in this thread, where you were having a pop at someone else.
And come on, I don't believe for one moment that it was a genuine question from you. You were just trying to scorn Keith, but you got it wrong and that was funny.

It's nice to see you here after a win, i mean that.

You are making the same mistake that Keith made earlier when he got all excited about a post I made and got his I love Jim Y fronts in a twist. It was a question, it had a question mark at the end of it and everything. You just got all excited and tried to jump on my post and do a funny.
