Honestly no, we've been the better team. They've hardly had a chance, we've had plenty.

Not really. Apart from one clear chance, Tranmere have done very little. They may have had more possession but [so far] done nothing at all with it. We've been poor but generally better than Tranmere and winning is a fair reflection. We just need someone who can get shots on target!

Sam Lavelle would be my MotM. He's put in some excellent tackles, a few times beat a player too and made some forward runs. I wouldn't disagree with any of the defenders getting it, but Sam is my choice.

What an idiot you really are. You’ve quite clearly not watched the game. Slew has been good, worked incredibly hard, held the ball up really well and brought others into play. His best game for us by far. Thankfully DA has more of a clue than you

These games against the poor playing sides are the games we normally lose the last few years. Come on Morecambe.

Not been very visible today, but you have to say Alex is back and once again Tranmere have hardly had a chance. Whether it's psychological or not I don't know, but he clearly makes a difference.

Where the hell do some of these officials get their times from ? Minimum 5 added minutes ! Was following the game text, certainly didn't see anything to justify that.

Fantastic result, just what we needed. Defended well as a team, and far more threat going forward than Tranmere. Alex Kenyon, proper steel imo, motm for me. Next.

To be fair, I think they also add time on for 'lost' or 'swapped' balls, when they go out for a throw in etc and can't be back in play as quickly as normal. On one occasion, Mellor was waiting for a steward to retrieve the ball from an empty stand, then got told he had to use a 'washed' ball. That was probably the best part of a minute.

A good solid professional performance from us according to Radio Rovers. I'd quite agree! A good result to stop the rot of the last 3 games. Not a great deal between the sides but we had a bit more than they did. Did they manage a shot on goal?

5 subs at 30 seconds per sub...so that's accounts for half the added time with the remainder due to throw ins and free kicks where a ref adds time whilst the ball is dead.

I missed this 'redrobo's' post, too busy arguing with him in another thread, where he wants the NHS to be overwhelmed before doing anything, which is probably just as well, as this post is even more ridiculous!

Slew worked really hard and had a good game in a side that were well below that. In fact, after the defence, he was probably the best 'forward' player. If rating them all, I'd put him ahead of Wildig, Phillips, Songo'o, Kenyon or CMG today.

played and pressed well, Tranmere just thought they could turn up and walk it, even their Commentators were predicting a 5-0 home win before KO.

Credit where it’s due, and as in an earlier post, I think JS had his best game today, so far. Hope he builds on it.

Didn't watch the game just had Sky Sports Football on my phone to keep up to speed. Mentioned Slew no more than 3 times in the entire 90 minutes.

IF as suggested he had his best game to date then excellent and I'll accept the words of those who watched the game.....no problem

Must have played well as Quinny has just mentioned his contribution on Radio Lancashire... ;)

Radio Rovers think the penalty was harsh, as he had a shot at goal and missed! Dangerous tackle as he was shooting so no problem with the penalty award in my mind. Also they reckon it was Phillips first goal of the season! Good homework lads. :D

Jordan Slew did a good job today in the roll he was no doubt asked to perform. i.e. Hold up the ball and create something for our goal scoring midfielders to take advantage of, similar to the role Stockton performs. Thought he did very well and any criticism of him today is unjustified. DA does very well with the resources at his disposal!

Not the most stunning performance, but a solid one to get the job done against a pretty awful Tranmere side.

They didn't pose much threat but we handled everything they were able to throw at us very well. And when they did get through, Turner was on hand to make a great reaction stop after some of the discussions we've had on here about him over the past week.

Thought we really switched it on in that period after half time and during that time, completely blew them away. We were excellent, and had numerous good opportunities to score before the penalty. Would have liked to have seen us keep up the impetus a little more but we controlled the game far better than against FGR, albeit against a worse side. Showed more calmness in possession than we have recently and generally made use of the ball better to relieve pressure. Not perfect, but solid and comfortably good enough to get a deserved win today.

Thought NKP used the ball poorly at times but had an excellent defensive display along with Lavelle. Kenyon being back was huge - him and Songo'o did a very good job in midfield and generally used the ball pretty well.

Wildig and Phillips both had decent games - at times a little rash/sloppy with their use of the ball but generally helped bring us up the pitch and provide a bit of creativity. Carlos better with a few flashes and should have scored, but positive he's in those positions and getting involved!

Slew had a very good game. Put so many running yards in and used the ball pretty well, and caused problems aerially for their defence. Very good to see him provide a good target man back up to Stockton. Important for coverage in our squad considering the way we like to play. Would have loved to see him hit a shot when he broke away in the first half - a little half touch to his right before smashing it near post would have done the trick! Hopefully the overall performance will help get his confidence up.
