3 more points and they are promoted!

Really am pleased for them after coming close on previous years.

I look at burton as a similar team to us. They are a well run club with good fans and have progressed through the conference properly (ie not throwing silly amounts of money around). I'm looking forward to seeing them next season.

I can only agree. And I think our new stadium will be a carbon copy of The Pirelli, with a nice main stand, and standing terracing all the way round the other sides.

Yes, Burton coming up will be brilliant!! I can remember pre Conference battles against them when they were always one of the premier Non League outfits in the NPL. In the Conf' they were always one of the best teams in the Comp and always brought a good few to Christie Park.

In a lot of ways it would be fantastic if their first game as a FL team was at Christie Park. They would bring thousands and we could reciprocate by rolling out a banner welcoming them,
ala Barnet for us:D

Us ' Ex Non Leaguers' should stick together in the big bad world of the ex Premiershite and Championship teams who currently infest our 'shite league' :o Don't quote me on that (I love it :D :D :D :D ) I'm merely refering to the bigteam numpties who feel the need to consantly tell us we're shite, the leagues shite and the world in general is also shite. S'cuse the rant but had a beer or two since the last post :D .

FOOTBAL LEAGUE AND WE'RE AVIN A LAUGH :D :D :D :D

I've had an eye on Burton this season (worked in the town last year) and of late it appears to be a stumble over the line. They were miles ahead only six or so weeks ago, I don't think many would have predicted they would still require points at this stage to take them up. Results went their way today, but I still think it might not be over for them yet. Three games left for the brewers:

Kiddy (away) - who are in the play-offs at the moment
Oxford (home) - outside chance of the play-offs
Torquay (away) - can still catch Burton, hope its all done and dusted before this final game

I hope they come up. We always play well there (apart from the FA Trophy game) and seem to take a decent following.

I think our new ground will be like the Pirelli Stadium, apart from a larger home terrace.

Too many, but we stuffed you 4-0 and Aldershot 5-0 so them too results made me very happy. Even if we don't make playoffs.

Work starts in a couple of weeks - it will be a big wrench for me when they move as i have watched the Shrimps thirty years and my dads ashes are scattered on the pitch

New ground doesn't really do it justice. It will be a ground yes, but the ground will incorporate conferencing and event facilities, a hotel, retail and fast food outlets and indoor and outdoor multi sports incorporating all weather facilities for lease to the community. In short all ventures which shoud generate income to maybe move our 'little club' above other clubs you would maybe expect to do better than us.
