Slew looks reborn playing through the middle. All he is missing is a goal but his performance's justify his selection.

But we don’t do enough in front of goal

I disagree, I think we are trying to find a way through. They have 10men behind the ball so we have to move them from side to side to find space.

I think we could sacrifice a defender at half time due to their sitting back.

Our best chance by far, no idea how it stayed out. Lets take some shots at the keeper now, definitely reminiscent of Oldham. Their sub keeper's never made a league appearance.

Anyone guessing what Ian Lyon has in his pack up today?

If we get the next goal. We will win the game. Come on boys. The bench looks strong and could be key

Quite a weird game for us as Stevenage are doing what we've done to a few teams this season. We need to be careful with the ball, and have to step up and show some quality/good movement. Toums has stepped up beating his man on a few occasions and we need others to do the same.

Our crossing has been awful. Think our best chance is slipping the ball down the side of the area if we can. Just need to show more quality and intelligence on the ball.

What a terrible penalty to give away. I'd be livid with Mellor if I was DA. Their man was moving away from goal and looked to be posing very little danger. Should have left him to Lavelle and watched out for the pass, not jumped in like an idiot and kicked his leg away.

I'd be leaning towards Pringle rather than Cole at half time. I think we need some craft between the lines and pringle and Carlos behind Slew, we might create more. If Cole comes on we will revert to lumping it and I think we are better than that. Fetch Cole on after 70mins if we are still losing.

We tried to defend a 1 goal lead and couldn't. Let's hope that they can't, but we'll have to improve dramatically!

Songo'o is the one who keeps the ball moving. We need him on the ball more. Phillips is not involved enough, he seems to be playing well within himself.

Cheatenage living up to the name, wasted time at every opportunity since they scored. We don't look like scoring, but obviously I hope we do.

We have done to teams what Stevenage are doing to us too in defending a one goal lead.

How many games have we had over the years where you just know it isn’t our day

Hardly a chance, one scramble in the box from a corner and other than that nothing.

Freddie Price with an absolutely outrageous cross, wasn't even facing the right way and put it perfectly on a plate for Slew. Finally Slew gets his goal as well, hopefully the first of many

I remember Big Jim looking out of his depth but once he got his first goal he was on fire. Let's hope Jordan does the same! I am with Glenn, chuffed for the lad. Hopefully a few on here eat their hats.

Full credit to Price, he hasn't put one into the net but since he's come on he's been involved in some of our better chances

This time last season we were clinging on to the likes of Stevenage and this year they have parked the bus against us and will be happy with that point.

Slew deserved that goal for persistence. He reminds me very much of when Russ Perkins joined. it took him ages to score his first and then he simply took off. Hope the same happens with Jordan.

Well done to DA for another excellent sub policy.

No wonder Stevenage have got this reputation of being a simply horrible team to play against.

DA with his very smart substitution, again. Young Freddie made the difference, at a point in the game, where we looked to have run out of ideas, and heading for a loss. A goal for JS, which I hope is just the start from him. Take a point, after giving away that “crazy “ penalty early doors. Next.COYS.

Bit of a frustrating game. Too many wayward passes and aimless crosses when we had time to pick a man. I think if we´d made those subs 15 minutes earlier, we´d have won the game. Stevenage offered very little so feels like two points dropped.

Slew very much deserved his goal for all the work he´s put in this season. Cole and Price changed the game as Cole was an instant target into feet and Price was involved in a few chances - both gave Stevenage a different problem. We lacked abit of invention from Wildig, Phillips and Carlos today. I´d be tempted to throw Price in for our next proper game (not including Tuesday) and Cole needs to start.

Still a point is better than a loss and something to build on.

Russ Perkins what a player he was, also sad to hear that Cherlie Lea has passed away, he was part of our treble winning team in1968
