Sorry if this offends anyone but imho you're nothing but a WUM. Did you see the game? They clearly had a game plan. It worked for them. On another day we win that. Frustrating is the term I would use. Still 10th? In the league and 8 points off top. What will it take for you to be happy?

2nd this

Derek Adams at long last has made our new ground a "Fortress" since we moved in 2010.

normally on average we'd be lucky to win 2 or 3 home games a season.

Didn’t realise JS had a loan spell with Stevenage. A few on there forum not happy, his first goal for us, against them.

John never contributes to the club, so I doubt he'd have watched it. Generally he prefers to judge the game based upon the stats on the BBC, although for yesterday, he skips straight to the "shocking home result" rather than the stats, because they don't fit his agenda. 69% Morecambe possession. 18 shots for us, three for Stevenage (and one of those was a penalty).

They came to defend solidly and hope for a breakaway. We gifted them a silly penalty. Without the penalty, we would probably have won 1-0 (which actually was my prediction!) We need shooting practice & confidence in front of goal. Hopefully Slew will kick on from there, having put one away.

Points dropped against a Stevenage side that had a game plan and worked hard, but we were unlucky.

Thought that was a test we hadn't faced all season really - a L2 side packing their defence and asking us to break them down. I don't think we did a particularly good job of it if I'm honest, but we were still well worth our three points.

Tricky one with the subs as they were excellent choices, although possibly a little late. But if DA brings them on early and we quickly take the lead, then we're left to hold a lead for 20 mins or so with a very attacking lineup. That said, I still don't think Stevenage would have troubled us much as they did not have many ideas going forward beyond lumping it up and hoping to get Oteh in behind.

Their penalty was so stupid to give away, really infuriating. Contrary to what their manager said post match and not taking their chances, the penalty was basically all they had in the entire game. I even have a graph to prove it: https://experimental361.com/2020/11/15/ ... usel-25449

Think we could have shown a bit more quality and movement when we had the ball. We didn't do enough throughout the match to pull their players out of position really. Really disappointed with Phillips - so wasteful with the ball. I understand he's a talented and imaginative player who likes to try things and that sometimes this will mean a few daft unrealistic passes, but he seemed to get frustrated yesterday and just hit more ever increasingly hopeful passes to no one than usual. He should keep trying to be imaginative on the pitch as it will help open up defences, but he also needs to learn when to reign it in and try a few shorter passes/movement.

Great impact from Price to have a go at them, move their defence around a bit and grab himself an assist! Also thought Stockton did well when he came on to make a few of our attacks 'stick' a bit better. And absolutely buzzing for Slew to finally get a goal!

In response to all the posts which mention Freddie Price I feel that we may have a real gem on our hands. I didn't realise till I looked it up yesterday that he is only 17! In the few cameo appearances we have seen so far he has really impressed. Yesterday in his short time on the pitch he provided the cross for the goal and had two deflected shots which on another day may have gone in. What really pleased me was the free kick on the edge of their box. OK it came to nothing but he was confident enough to accept responsibility in taking it and the senior players were happy to let him do it. Either they had no confidence in their own ability to do something with it or Freddie does stuff in training which warranted him having a dib. Hopefully the latter!

I think the club are doing the right thing introducing him slowly and if he keeps it up he may well be far better than EFL2 in forthcoming years.

While I’m on, agreed PS about young Price.

Freddie played in same team as my nephew in Birkdale/Formby area for Redgate Rovers. He was known for having a go from distance and scoring plenty of goals. Bright prospect for a 17 year old. Team became known as Fredgate!
