The Government are quite right in their assessment that there is enough money in our game BUT it needs the Premier League to help out its less well off cousins in the EFL especially at EFL2 level.

However talks on a settlement seem to have come to an impasse with no deal on the horizon but the Premier league still pay their players ridiculous salaries even at Development level.

Not sure if this is correct but heard that our on loan 'keeper is on £4000 per week at Newcastle.... :o :o :o

They are hardly going to use public money to bail out clubs in the EFL which has members like Derby County , Sheff Weds , Blackburn etc with guys on mega salaries and wages bills over 100% of turnover.

The Premier League and EFL are negotiating a grant for League 1 and 2 clubs and loans for Championship clubs at the current time.
