Don't think it is that, he probably thinks that we're on top enough as it is.

I didn't see it as being on top. It was crying out for change. Freddie Price running at them would have shaken them up. Just have to hope that there's some logic for his decision.
On to the next one.

Wasn't saying I agreed with the decision, simply that I didn't think he'd have given up on the game when only one goal down and playing well.

I'd have brought Freddie on for Carlos just to change things & freshen up.

Fantastic interview. No sob story. The players must love playing for him. Ok, we lost tonight but Derek is changing this club. Absolutely love this interview.

Its the fact he sees us on the same level as the other clubs and has no inferiority complex. Players want a manager to stick up for them and lead from the front. There were murmerings of discontent on here but he has come out and said his players were fantastic and his team went toe to toe with Salford City. Brilliant interview.

Totally agree, but my first question would be why no subs?

In saying that he will know why

WOW. What an incredibly passonate interview. Well spoken D.A. And yes it certainly shows that as far as he is concerned Morecambe are not to be regarded as "little old Morecambe". What an absolute breath of fresh air. Assuming that all at the club (from top to bottom) have that same attitude, then look out the rest of League 2.

If listening to that doesn't make any MFC supporter smile and feel good, then all I can say is that they are not really an MFC supporter.

The stats totally reiterate what we all watched mate. We “won” the game easily, without taking the points.Onwards with anything like that sort of performance, and we will win plenty more games, and Shrimps fans can continue to enjoy some really good football.

Nearly twice as many shots as they did, but only the same amount on target, in training without a defender in front of them they no doubt look marvellous.
Try some shooting practice, a) from outside the box and b) with a defender closing them down , which would also be good practice for our back line.

Everybody connected with our great club know we desperately need a proven striker but the reality is that we have little finance availalbe to secure such a signature. This is a situation that we as fans have experienced for a growing number of seasons.

When Hunter joined Salford from Fleetwood I seem to recall a figure of £6000 per week being mentioned by the Fleetwood manager who felt that the money could be better spent on his own player. IF that is true then that shows us all the problem we have in recruiting the striker everybody knows we need.

The Board do wonders as does DA on a reduced budget but finance will always be a problem..that is a fact of life. All we can do as fans is to continue to support our club both on and off the field to the best of our abilities.

Think our only hope is to find a young talent of our own or keep getting a decent young striker on loan. we've had one or two in the pst whoI think DA would have used to better effect.

I put these graphs up last season and nobody took any notice. Our line was like the line on a life support machine that had just been switched off

I can't remember how long D A is contracted for,but I for one hope that we can offer an extension to it as soon as possible!

He signed for 2 and a half years until the Summer of 2022. Hopefully he will be offered an extension well before then.

Our last 3 managers have stayed 12 years , 5 years and 8 years so we have a track record of giving managers time to build.

The Experimental 361 graphs are an excellent resource. Sometimes xG should be taken with a pinch of salt, but I think the graph for last night definitely shows we thoroughly deserved to win, and confirms that they created virtually nothing and scored two screamers.

In regards to conceding shots from range, we have been hugely unfortunate this year. The same site's xG table for the season has us conceding about seven more goals than expected given the chances we've allowed.

https://experimental361.com/2020/11/25/ ... -nov-2020/

That's a ridiculous swing and the biggest in the division. Obviously there is the debate going on in another thread about what exactly this is down - whether it's bad luck, goalkeeping or not closing people down etc.

Still not as good as the. Kung-Fu kick to the chest that only resulted in a yellow card. We've got a lot of 'balancing out' to come our way at some point

hope we have an attacking approach to the game and take the game to them, otherwise we might come unstuck trying to defend
