Best win of the season in my opinion. Orient were a good side.

Who would have thought we would be unbeatable at home

Probably the best 70 mins of football I have seen from us against a very good Orient

I keep telling myself not to get too excited about how good the team is and our chances for this season, it's still early, plenty can still go wrong, etc. While that all may be true, suddenly I find that it's December, we're 18 matches in, and certainly looking like we have a better chance at going up than we do down.

It’s funny, we only really saw this new Morecambe for a couple of months last season before lockdown, yet it was obvious we were going to do really well this season. I kept saying to workmates watch out for Morecambe we will be up there under Derek. Come on!

Fantastic result, which we thoroughly deserved. Full TEAM performance again, the pieces are all there for a brilliant season. Boring, but saying it again.....Davis is quality, and alongside Sam, top pair. Get in. Next!!!

Outstanding! Took the goal to wake us up but once we started playing we were easily the better side. As Derek says, we are a right good side and it really showed today - I thought tonight was even better than Harrogate.

A point off the playoff spots as things stand. Too early to get excited?

I missed the first 20ish minutes due to a technical issue, but we dominated the game for all the play I saw. Leyton Orient had possession but lacked invention. We were smart with possession and carved out chances from lots of different areas.

The whole team put in a performance. The back 5 (including Halstead) look like they have a good understanding and want to do the dirty stuff to keep goals out. Sullivan had another classy performance and was my MOTM for two games on the bounce. He mentioned himself on the radio earlier this season that Derek had created a no favourites atmosphere and he has proven that with hard work you can regain your place in this side. Carlos, yet again, looks more effective down the middle. He took his goal really well from another Phillips pass. Although to be fair today, Carlos did play some clever balls into the box and was more positive with his passes from wide. In the first half, he clipped a ball inside the box to Wildig who headed back to Stockton whose shot was blocked. It was a lovely move.

That was a terrific performance against a side who just beat Newport. Come on you Shrimps!

An EXCELLENT come back, really well deserved. The onion bag was found! Ref gave too many dubious decisions their way, especially toward the end, but we held strong and played really well. After the torrid first 18 mins, it was a great game. Really enjoyable. Well done DA and the lads! Onwards and upwards the mighty Shrimps!!!

When Orient scored their goal, I feared the worst. We'd been second best and deservedly went behind. But instead of our capitulation, as we had earlier in the season, we settled down and played some lovely football, while also doing the ugly stuff well. Thoroughly deserved three points against a good side. :D

Absolutely brilliant performance, one of the best I've seen in years. Shaky first 20 mins, but to come back from that a goal down and wrestle the game back and dominate against a very good side in form was so impressive.

Such a complete performance: hard work, good defending, used the ball well, and had some telling moments of quality. Very hard to pick any real standouts as everyone was so good. As has been mentioned, O'Sullivan was great - solid defensively and a good outlet when we had the ball. Wildig knitted things as he does, Carlos showed some great moments of quality to unlock the defence and Phillips showed his quality! Defence excellent too.

Very little to pick apart from this performance, it was just great!

Very impressed with tonight’s performance against a half decent Orient. The longer DA is in charge the stronger we seem to become. He knows how to get the best out of players that’s for sure. Can’t wait to get back in the ground and celebrate these wins properly

Great performance after the first 20 minutes, we really are looking like a good side. Derek has worked wonders in a very short space of time - let's keep it going and see where we end up!

I think we all wish for that day...

Less pressure on the players without moaners getting on their backs when things go wrong, maybe 'us' not being there is helping?

Not sure about that Marky, always feel we are one of the more supportive and forgiving crowds out there. There will always be the odd moaner but the majority of us sort of accepted the little fish big pond thing and tried to be supportive come what may. We even greeted home draws like a victory due to the fact home wins were so rare. DA has changed that completely to the extent where we now expect to win at home. I think we may be even better with the crowd behind us whenever that may be

Previous manager had a real issue with folk shouting within earshot and was trying to protect the players and even moved dugouts and back.
I love the way Derek has a positive approach, fans will always be disgruntled at sometime during a game.
When he arrived, he stood, watched and was fairly quiet. On ifollow now you can constantly hear him being vocal to the players, which is preferable to sitting down and not looking interested.
This positivity could well calm the heckling down, i know the players would rather be supported than yelled at by the fans

Does anyone know why Gibson dropped out of the squad tonight?

I presume it´s that he´s not up to match fitness yet perhaps and Hendrie is a better option for now.

I reckon young Turner may have to wait a while longer for his first team starter slot now. Can't change this settled back 4/5 now, whatever Newcastle might say
